“We had to switch rooms because the first one was very hot 2nd floor and air conditioning is very bad. The bathroom sink was clogged. The second room was a little better. It was a little cooler. The area was pretty dumpy too. Would not ever stay here again.”

“It took three trips back to the front desk to get our room. The next day our door cards did not work. The staff really made the hotel stay unpleasant.”

“The hotel was in a horrible part of town, was very run down and the beds were very hard. I would not stay there again, and it should not be a 2 star hotel. It's gross.”

“The room was great. I was told that there was a prostitution problem around the hotel but the Phoenix Police have evidently cleaned that problem up.”

“Its a definite toss-up to whether or not a general person would ever choose to lodge at this particular facility being that the general neighborhood is not in the best condition as in the buildings and walking public but once you step beyond the very well lit and welcoming entrance you feel as you walked into a upscale hotel with a more than friendly, smiling, helpful, and willing staff to greet you, all day every day as in this case I know as my stay had an unplanned 5 more days extra added. They have one of the best pool and hot-tub lounges in the city with an area and space designated for it 5X larger than most hotels would never spare the room for. They have to have one of the best landscapes and tile caretakers in the city as the grounds are plump green and lush with no dry spots to weeded areas and all walkways are tiled and cleanly scrubbed no chips or cracks. Like I said previously if I was to drive by and see this hotel from the street I would 75% chance keep driving on to a better neighborhood and place but there again, Once you step foot beyond the doors you are standing in a minimum 4 star hotel with the service, staff, rooms, and relaxing amenities provided. The only major downfall is the fact that it serves unsatisfying low quality food, poor customer service and general appearance is a big letdown to what we expected portrayed by the advertising they have done. I would strongly rate it a 2 out of 10 with 10 being excellent. So as to sum it up Yes I would stay here again and would inform others about it but as far as location and drive by appeal an unknowing person would continue on without ever knowing what great service and relaxing amenities lie beyond those doors Of Days Inn- Airport, Phoenix,AZ, making it kinda of a secluded and quiet place for those of us who now know of its existence in the Valley Area.”

“This was a clean, professional hotel and although we had a few problems, in general it was very acceptable. The first thing I didn't like was that the hallway smelled very strongly of mildew or something - it was almost overpowering. Fortunately the room was not affected and we were fine as long as we stayed in our room. Next, the electricity went out for several hours and nobody said anything to us or offered a flashlight or anything! We peeked out in the hallway and saw some flashlights moving around in the lobby but decided to just go to bed instead of waiting. The next morning we attempted to go swimming but found the pool closed. After standing in line for several minutes, I asked about it and the woman behind the desk made a few phone calls and informed me just the one gate was locked; the others should be open (and they were.) We didn't really ever receive an explanation for that but we were able to swim and that was all we cared about so we didn't inquire further. We never did hear anything about the electricty going out, nor were we offered any compensation for the inconvenience. In general, this hotel was very adequate, but if you are expecting anything more than a place to crash you probably won't want to come here.”

“I would not recommend it based on the area (we were concerned about leaving in the evening to get something to eat). There weren't any restaurants that were close so we had to drive quite a distance to find something. Also, it was to hot to sleep because of the broken thermostat.”

“I have had some grat room deals, this hotel is in a very bad section of Phoenix, its rating is incorrect i did not feel safe to have my wife or vehicle at this location. The rooms were outdtated with very bad and old furnishings. This hotel was so bad we spent 1 1/2 hours looking for another place to stay but were unable to locate one due to Spring training in the area, all rooms were booked or had a cost of over $200 a night. ”

“This should not have been a 2 star hotel based on other 2 star hotel criteria. The neighborhood was scary, the hotel rooms were antiquated and very noisy, the hallways smelled like cigarette smoke. Our non-smoking room had cigarette burns on the furniture. When the maids were vacuuming the room above us, it sounded like they were in our room. Every footstep in the room above sounded very loud. Overall, very dissatisfied with this hotel. AC was marginal.”

“Convenient location to the airport with a very adequate diner on premise that was reasonably priced and courteous staff. I would not walk or jog off premise as it seemed to be a bit unsafe.”

“The pool area has a "resort" feel to it, but the rear building we stayed in is obviously of poor design, with no insulation to soundproof between floors. We heard every move of the guests above us, while they were preparing for their departure in the middle of the night(an airport location). The desk clerk didn't care that we had a poor nights sleep. Also, she made a note that we requested an iron and board,(for our son's graduation ceremony) but we never heard from them concerning this matter. I definitely wouldn't recommend this hotel. ”

“The property was a nice resort style location. The rooms are old and in serious need of renovation. Baseboards were separated and missing in areas, remotes to TVs were not functional, cofee pots were not available in all rooms, and the wireless internet service was intermittant. While the staff was very freindly, I would NOT reccomend this property. ”

“Although it seemed great care had been taken to make the place look good, underneath the hotel came across as old and somewhat decrepit: the tub didn't drain well; the stairs creaked and I could feel them shift beneath me; I had to turn one set of lights on "just so" to get them to come on and stay on. The icing on the cake was that the hotel gave me a SINGLE bar of soap for the first night I was there -- it came across as amazingly chintzy, as I transferred it from sink to shower, and back again (I did get two bars of soap the second night so it was probably merely an oversight the first night). ”

“The hotel is old and fairly run down. Pets are allowed at this hotel and I think the entire hotel smelled of dog and various other pet odors. The staff was friendly and I think they did the best with what they had. The location was in a seedy part of town where I would not walk outside.”
