• Spacious room with great AC.
• Would have liked a mini fridge in my room.

“The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was nice, clean and smoke-free. I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming into Phoenix for a few days.”

“It is a good average hotel. Clean accommodations and convenient to the airport. Staff was friendly and helpful. It was quiet. All we did was sleep there.”

• Front desk staff went out of their way to help me on something when they really did not have to.
• Room and bathroom smelled funny. Kind of sour, like may be it was a moldy/mildew shower curtain.

• This hotel was very close to the airport and very clean.
• The continental breakfast was not very good. We went to get something before checking out, but decided to wait to get food at the airport instead.

“This hotel was great for my friends and I to rest up and clean up in before our flights the next morning. We had been hiking in the grand Canyon for the past 9 days and the Econolodge was perfect for our one night stay. It was also close to other places we had to go.”

• Swimming pool and Breakfast was fine. Also comfortable bed. Shuttle bus.
• Location not appealing.

“Shuttle was good. People were friendly, and we could use the computer as needed. The pool was clean and was very comfortable in 109 degree weather. The room was comfortable and air conditioned. There was no traffic noise (a real plus).”

• No fridge or microwave, desolate area.

“Great for a long layover at PHX. Close to airport with a 24 hour shuttle and fast check in and out. Not a destination, romantic or for families.”

• Location and friendly staff.
• It's just a typical motel. Good if you're staying in Phoenix overnight and need a place near the airport.

“This was a good motel for my needs: traveling to Phoenix on business and had an early morning flight. It's not a luxury hotel, but certainly is fine and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.”

• Convenience to airport.
• The squeak bed, stain on the carpet next to the bed and neighbor who opened his door nude.

“I needed a clean, safe room near the airport. The hotel was located near the airport, which puts it in a questionable area. The parking lot was well light and I didn't feel unsafe for my vehicle or myself. The room was relatively clean except for the carpet. There was a large stain by the bed that I felt I needed to place a towel over in order to get out of bed. And the bed frame needs to be replaced, it squeaked with the slightest turn. But I was able to rest enough to make my airplane the next morning.”

• The shuttle service to the airport was great.
• TV-few channels and no 'guide'.

“It worked well for my needs. My husband & daughter stayed at the hotel as I flew to Colorado for business. My daughter could swim all she wanted and had fun. The shuttle got me to and from the airport without delay. It was a perfect experience overall.”

• Location near the airport & excellent shuttle service.
• Depressed area. Poor restaurant choices without car!

“Motel was a good choice for our situation. Car rental had to be returned day before our flight. Economy Lodge was very accommodating and shuttle service to airport was excellent. Understand this area will be purchased by airport authority for future Sky Harbor expansion. Explains ten depressed area conditions.”

“Pickup from motel is only once an hour. Not on demand. Shuttle is not 24/7. Room and bath immaculate; bed comfortable. Staff on duty at midnight when I checked in irritable and chary with info re. Shuttle the next morning, and gave wrong directions to my room.”

• Curtains off the window, no hotel parking as advertised, space under the door.

“Crappy. Less than 1 star. They advertise free airport shuttle, but it is only if you participate in their park and fly program, which you must book at the time you book the room. Would have been nice to know since I only booked the dump because it was close to the airport and the description said they have a free airport shuttle, and I was under the assumption they had parking for all guests, as other motels in the area do. The motel is a dive, and you shouldn't stay there anyway. We also heard a tractor all night, beeping as it backed up, since there was construction right next door. Overall, the worst motel experience I have had.”
