• The staff was friendly and it served our purpose of the trip.
• Poor section of town.

• The price and location were as near to perfect as any Phx. Had to offer.
• There were dirty towels and glasses in the pool area the entire weekend.

“I did enjoy the stay. The room was comfortable and clean. The pool are was not as nice as the rest. I found this really disappointing considering the high temperatures in Phoenix. The staff was kind and friendly.”

• Front desk was friendly and it was a nice room, clean.
• I had no problems with this hotel.

• Overall a very nice hotel and staff. Ironing board!

“Good location with nice efficient rooms close to public transportation, dining etc. Stayed here several times and will continue to do so. Sure beats the Butterfield in Tucson (awful).”

• Great location - pet friendly.
• Didn't have good soaps and toiletries. Had to get them myself.

“This was a great, safe location in Phoenix. Close by to everything I wanted to get to and it was right off the freeway SR-51. I also liked that it was pet friendly because I brought my dog along with me. The room was clean and comfortable and I felt safe since I am a female solo traveler.”

• Almost everything.

“This hotel's staff was almost non-existent. There was trash everywhere, halls were dark and carpet was dingy. Staff had minimal knowledge and the willingness to help was nominal. I would not recommend staying here if you don't have to.”

• Location was fine.
• Rude desk clerk, smoky room, only one bed.

“We were late arriving (after 11:30) and were given a room which was already occupied. Clerk tried to make it our fault the room he gave us was taken. Was told there were no non-smoking rooms, nor rooms with two beds. I was traveling with my 10 yr old daughter.”

• The staff was helpful. I did not complain to them about the odor knowing that since it I was all over the hotel, there wouldn't be much they could do.
• Hotel had horrible odor, like trying to cover up vomit.

“Although the hotel is conveniently located, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone at any price due to the over powering revolting odor that permeated the entire hotel. The disgusting smell is hard to describe, something like trying to cover up the smell of vomit with some type of over powering deodorizer.”

• It was right off the highway, so relatively easy to find.
• Staff not truthful and lazy.

“My boyfriend and I were looking forward to a nice, romantic long weekend away in a warmer place. We called ahead three times to make sure that we could have a non-smoking room, which we were told would not be a problem. We are both allergic to cigarette smoke, so it was important that this was possible. However, when we checked in at 11:30 at night, we were given a smoking room and told by the night staff that they were completely booked, which I didn't believe since the parking lot was practically empty. They offered Lysol to make it smell better, but when we asked for it they said they didn't have any. The next day after talking to three more people, they finally switched our room reluctantly. The overall attitude of much of the staff is very poor, and they make it obvious to you that they would rather be somewhere else. The rooms are not in the best of conditions, with paint peeling off the cabinets and hardware falling off. They do provide some toiletries, but you have to ask for it several times. Their idea of a workout facility consisted of two treadmills - one of which didn't work and the other antiquated - and a stair step machine. The included continental breakfast consisted only of plain bagels and some butter product that didn't require refrigeration along with two coffee choices and maybe a piece of fruit, if you got there early enough.”

• There was a kitchen if I had intended to stay any length of time.
• Stuck in a smokers room!

“This is the first time I've had to remain in a smoker's room! This was a two-star facility and with the smoke negative 5 stars! Had it not been Phoenix, where I could open the window I would have left.”

• Someone else's wet towel was left on bathroom floor.

“Room was musty and made me sneeze and I got a headache as soon as checking in-then in bathroom found a wet towel on floor by tub. Maid must have missed it when cleaning from prior tenant? Also no air, the air conditioner was not working in room.”

• Location-room was lovely.
• Hallways smelled terrible-oldie carpets.

“Location was the best. Room was spacious and decor very nice. There is a great 5 & diner right across the street. A very safe neighborhood. I'm alone and this is most important to me. I would be happy to stay there anytime. But they really need to change out there hall carpets for sure. Very old and grungy and terrible odor.”
