“Old hotel, casino - not too clean. North tower had 6 elevators only two worked. Some people got stuck in elevator for 25 minutes. Room had lots of dust on furniture. Tub did not drain from shower and cold faucet handle leaked badly.”

“The staff was not helpful at all. We had to go to the management twice for issues that should have been solved by the general staff. The bathtub was clogged and the floor did not appear to be vacuumed. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. We had wanted to stay another day but we couldn't handle another night on the mattress.”

“The Plaza Hotel need serious renovations. The hotel is old and everything inside the room was very old. In 2008 Vegas hotels should be more updated!”

“It is old, but very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Just to go gambling in Vegas, I would go to this hotel again, but not with family on vacation.”

“For the average Las Vegas traveler, the Plaza is a great place to stay. It is well placed at the mouth of Fremont Street (where partying all night long is mandatory). The majority of the hotel's common areas (excluding the scary elevators coming in from the parking garage) were well kept, and nicely decorated. We ate at the 777 buffet, and at $7.77 all day long, the meal was a quite good and a great deal. In addition, the pool area on the 7th floor (although busy) was very nice. Unfortunately, this is where the positives stop. Luckily, the average guest sees very little of the room, and when they do, they tend to be too drunk or tired to care. That was not the case with me. The rooms were small, outdated, and uncomfortable. I believe that it was clean, but it was hard to differentiate dirt from just plain old. However, as I had said before, if you plan to sleep next to the toilet anyhow, the room may not be a huge factor in your stay.”

“Could have been a grand hotel in its day; but now it has lost all its presumed grandeur. Needs refurbishing.”

“I would never stay at this hotel again. It looks like they have never renovated since its first construction decades ago. Paper is peeling off of the walls. There was mold. All of the pipes leaked and there were multiple stains on the carpets inside the room and the hallway. It was located right by Fremont street, which was the only plus.”

“I will not be staying at the Plaza again. The beds were horribly uncomfortable, and I do mean horribly. The bathroom wasn't big enough for an anorexic much less a normal or bigger person. The entire room felt dirty. There were only two pillows per bed and they were so tiny it was like not even having any pillows. When I requested more they said they would take of it. 24 hours later I had to call back for them again and they said they thought they were out but would check. When they still had not arrived hours later I had to go to housekeeping, which was right next door to our room, and ask for them again. I had the worst nights sleep of my life in those beds.”

“Management at this location needs some customer skills. They could have at least called to check if I was ok after the ambulance came to check me for injuries, but we never heard from management and did not even get an apology when we checked out of the hotel.”

“Room had beds you felt the coils through. Walls were thin; kids in next room woke us up both nights at 5 am playing with Sweeney door. Front desk staff did nothing to elevate. Casino floor dirty, little glass pickups. Hostesses were not happy to be there. Live band was AWESOME! Won't stay there again!”

“Counter staff was friendly and courteous, 1 valet was borderline rude. Valet location requires that you must walk through the casino with children to get to the elevator (to get to your room). AC in the room was not functioning adequately.”

“The Plaza is conveniently located to the Freemont Street experience and is a good value. That said, this is an older property that suffers from lack of maintenance. Our room was huge and bright, but the carpet was stained, the furniture was chipped, scratched and was missing three handles. Meanwhile the bathroom was tiny and strangely designed. Overall it is worth a cheap price when you can get it, but don't expect clean rooms.”

“I will never stay here again! This "hotel" should be called Motel 6 or Super 8. I went to Las Vegas for the first time last week- I've always wanted to go and was so excited. When we arrived to the plaza hotel, they booked us the wrong room (they gave us 2 queen beds, instead of one king). So the next day we switched rooms. To a room where the air conditioner was broken! So we packed up again and moved to another room. Where the air conditioner didnt work there either! So then we packed up again and finally were in a room that wasn't 95 degrees. Everything was okay until the next morning when it was time to shower. It was like I was standing in a bath! The drain didnt work at all and the worse part was the shower curtain was blowing all over causing the bathroom to flood! So we switched rooms again! I spoke to the manager and she told me we could have "dinner on her". So she gave us 2 free buffet passes (at $7.77 each) the food was horrible! It was like eating at the old country buffet! I dont even think there are words to describe how terrible my stay was here. The only good thing about this hotel was the location. Nothing else.”
