“I have highly recommended the Artisan to individuals who I know would enjoy the original experience it has to offer. Love the artwork, deco & atmosphere. The one thing I feel would make a fine "finishing touch" would be to have a jazz pianist in the lounge. Seeing that beautiful Grand in the lobby sitting there unused is sad. I often come to the Artisan with my partner who lives in Vegas, even when we do not stay over. Last, I do not feel it is a "place" for families or children to stay and feel it should be kept as exclusive hide-away for adults.”

“This was a strange hotel. The lobby was filled with copies of art work that were a bit salacious and it clearly is not meant for family travelers. I was perplexed that they offered the Wall Street Journal, but I do not think that it was a strong hotel for business purposes. The only parking is valet and that adds to the expense of the hotel. I would not stay there again.”

“This is a gorgeous hotel, love the art, nice and quiet, except the valet guys. Overall it was worth the money but not a place for kids.”

“This place is the ONLY hotel in Vegas that charges $11 to park your vehicle as a hotel guest + tip, no ice machines, and if you go there watch out for the blind employees because whether you smoke or not they will charge your credit card up to four days after you leave for smoke damage! Thank god my bank has a fraud department!”

“Interesting hotel within an easy drive of the strip. Has an upscale restaurant and an outdoor pool, neither of which we used so cannot comment on. The room was lavishly appointed with extra pillows and throw blankets, as well as an LCD TV mounted to the wall. It's an older hotel that has been updated, and each room is themed to a specific artist. The downside is that there is no public parking, therefore you need to pay $11.50 to park overnight, and a valet takes care of parking your vehicle. There is a nearby parking lot but be warned that vehicles may be towed.”

“The hotel was quite and peaceful; you didn't have all the noise and fast pace of a hotel down town.”

“Enjoyed staying there but you had to have a car and it's location was not convenient to anything. It was very dark. The rooms were noisy. Parking was a pain. The staff was great.”

“Easy to find, very close to the strip, and affordable. Nice and small too with no gaming machines. Be aware that there's *no* parking other than valet, which is around $11 a day.”

“We loved the atmosphere and the room was cozy. They have lots of extra pillows and a blanket just to rap up with while you read or watch a movie. I didn't like the parking situation because you have to use valet and there is a fee for overnight parking. Also, they only serve food between 6:30 am - 1:30 pm and not again till 4:30 pm - 11:00 pm. This was kind of aggravating to me since I had to go to work at 6:30 am. This hotel must be old (but renovated very nicely) because it was hard to find any extra outlets in the room.”

“The artisan hotel gets major kudos from me! My husband and I were very pleased. The decor of this hotel was styled fantastically and each portion of the hotel we were captivated by its uniqueness. Every area of the staff form the valet to front desk to housekeeping was very professional and friendly. One concierge deacon was a standout employee and the valet guy (I cant remember his name) but he worked the night shift was also a peach! Giving us a chance to experience such a great atmosphere. We look forward to going back there even if we cant book it threw you.”

“All businesses make decisions that aim to balance the needs of controlling costs while providing quality customer service. The artisan errors far to the side on controlling costs. The room I stayed in had a controlled a/c unit that cut off while I wasn't in the room, and the a/c would not go below 72 degrees. Since I normally sleep around 67 degrees, I had trouble falling asleep. At night the hotel room was hotter than the outside air. When we informed the hotel staff of the a/c problem, we were informed that they couldn't adjust the a/c settings and that we just had a bad unit. The A/c wasn't the only bad unit in the room. Both lamps close to the bed did not work. I really do not see why they severely limited my energy usage especially since I had to pay a resort fee of $3.50 (no that no optional fee was not included in the quote price) a night to cover for the energy costs. I also had no option in parking as $11.50 valet a day parking was all that was offered. In addition to energy costs, the artisan cut payroll as well. The fitness room had three aerobic machines. One of the machines was a treadmill which did not work. I guess the extra hours for labor did not fit into the budget. The artisan also tightly controls its supply costs. I had to complain three times before I received soap the first morning, and before I received a towel to dry off at the pool, I had to give them my driver's license. Although I received the driver's license after I returned the towel, the policy had a pungent smell of cheapness to it. I would not recommend the artisan to anyone staying in Las Vegas unless you like the sleeping a temperatures close to eighty degrees.”

“While the hotel was unique and quiet, I was disappointed with the service. Certain staff members were not customer friendly and need some training in the area of problem solving.”

“This hotel gets at 1 on a scale of 10. It was the worst experience I have had in all my travels. Super 8 was better then this place. I would have paid more to go to other hotel if one was available.”

“The Artisan features reproductions of art work over the centuries. Each room is unique. The bar and dining room remind me of the colonial hotels we used to see in movies. It's so different from the routine hotels that it is especially fun to visit.”

“Much too dark throughout. Too dark at front desk to read paperwork. Gloomy. Black tile floor & walls in bathroom. More appropriate for ghouls and ghosts.”
