  • Not much to like about this hotel.
  • Rude staff, room wasn't clean upon arrival at 9PM.

“There isn't much to say about this hotel, it's old, the staff is rude, and isn't much going on. The price was average for a Saturday night.”

  • I wouldn't know, we were unable to visit.

“My husband suffered had an injury on his leg while going to work on Wednesday. He was struck by a vehicle so we were unable to visit Vegas. We had tickets to see U2 on Friday the 23rd and luckily I purchased insurance for those tix. We are very disappointed of course for not being able to visit, but also for the loss of the money. Most importantly though is my husband will recoup from the injury.”

  • We got the pent house for super cheap.
  • Even though we got the penthouse, it was very old and outdated.

“It's OK, but way at the end of the strip, the rooms need to be updated. Overall not bad.”

  • Newly renovated room had comfortable beds.
  • Would have preferred a more central location.

“It's one of the strip's older hotels, and the guests appear a tad down market, but the price is right and the rooms are comfortable.”

  • Rooms were renovated.
  • I didn't like the small rooms and no club inside hotel for entertainment.

“The price was ok for the room we stayed in. It was renovated so it wasn't dirty but just small room. There is nothing to do at night there so you need to leave hotel which is not big deal but would be nice to have the option of staying in the hotel. Pool was nice and clean and clear water. No pool bar or cocktail waitress. Next time i would spend extra to stay in nicer hotel.”

  • I love the room! Flat screen TV, alarm clock with i pod docking station!
  • The maid service was not that good.

“ In short, the hotel was awesome! We did not expect the flat screen TV, the fridge, or the alarm clock with i pod docking station! ”

  • Decent price and still relatively close to major casinos on the strip.
  • It was real old and not particularly attractive.

“Riviera upgraded my room for free. The furniture in the room was nice enough, modern looking. Aside from being on the small side, the room was clean and smelled fine. There was a nice flat screen TV. There was an extra charge for power (like $4 a day) and an extra charge for internet access. The food court was handy. The nicer restaurant had retro decor and a retro menu to match, the portions were small but the service was good. If you're looking for a cheap, decent place to sleep on the strip, this is it. If you're looking for a glamorous experience, you're going to have to pay a lot more money.”

  • I like that that hotel was located on the Vegas strip.
  • I did not like the quality of the staying experience.

“The hotel was for the most part clean. I would rate this hotel a 2 star.”

  • The beds were super comfy.
  • Maid service was very poor.

“The location of this hotel is south of strip but located right by a bus stop.”

  • Rooms were nicer than I expected.
  • Had to pay $10 to use the fitness room.

“The rooms were nice and renovated but the rest of the hotel needed to be updated. The hotel was on the end of the strip a long walk to most other hotels.”

  • The food and entertainment.

“The hotel was clean and the rooms were clean. The staff was friendly and accomodating.”

  • Self-serve check-in kiosks.
  • Parking

“This is the oldest hotel on the strip, but the remodeled portions of the hotel offer rooms that are at par in decor to the newer resorts on the strip. The hotel has a self check-in kiosk system that allows guests to register and receive room keys without waiting in line, much like those at the airport...very convenient! The only drawbacks are parking and small rooms. This hotel is a great value for the price.”

  • The room was newly remodeled. The A/C was cold in the room.
  • The surcharge for the electricity, no additional was necessary.

“It was worth the price we paid. Clean newly remodeled room, not a lot of luxury but it was clean and not noisy.”

  • The overall cleanliness ofthe room, bathroom, casino etc. in general was exceptional and i would definitely recommend it to a family member or friend.
  • Something that I did not like about the hotel was the pool area do to the size and how congested it felt.

“I loved my room! The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were very clean. For the price the hotel was great! I would definitely recommend it to a family member or friend!”

  • Very comfortable beds and bedding excellent.

“I was very pleased for the amount of money I spent. The rooms were very nice. Loved the big beds and flat screen TV.”

  • The room was very clean and spacious.
  • The staff is not helpful at all. You have to figure things out on your own.

“Overall our stay was exactly what we wanted; a nice room to sleep in and a clean pool. Negatives: The self check-in machine was not working when we arrived and when we asked for help, the lady at the desk tried to push our problem onto someone else. She finally helped us because there was no one else available and then didn't even tell us what tower we were in or how to get to our room so we went around in circles trying to figure out where to go until someone (not hotel staff) in the lobby pointed us in the right direction. The Riviera is exactly what you should expect; a nice/clean room to stay at when your not out, nothing special or luxurious at all. Its an older casino and its cheap, expect what you pay for. If you want luxury, stop being cheap and pay for a nicer hotel. But if you'r on a budget and just need a place to sleep that's clean and affordable, then this place is perfect.”

  • The amazing thing about this hotel that sets this casino apart from the others for those of us that exercise...they have a lap swimming designated tim

“It's okay, not long walk to the strip. Very unfriendly employees. Loved the fact the pool has lap hour times for swimmers.”

  • The hotel was clean. The room exceeded expectations.
  • The common areas of the hotel were smoky. It was smokier than other hotels and casino's on the strip.

“The hotel room was nice and clean, with updated carpet, wallpaper, and even a flat screen TV. However the common areas were smokier than some of the other hotels on the strip.
I would rate the hotel as a 7 on a scale of 10 with 10 being good. It was a good hotel experience overall for the family.”

  • The remodeled rooms were nice, but they stuck me in a old horrible room and I had to complain and plead for a nicer room. Good to be military.
  • Grounds were horrible, service in restaurants were bad.

“Old school casino. Going down quick. Service was horrible in the restaurants. spend the extra $20.00 and stay elsewhere.”
