• I loved the convenience of the location and the great restaurants.
• I did not like that the club charged a cover and then closed an hour later.

“You would barely have to leave the hotel to get all of the Vegas experience. From the lions on display, to the great restaurants to shopping and gambling. The hotel had every amenity other than coffee makers or refrigerators in the room.”

• Central location, clean rooms, beds are very nice, great pool area.
• Unfriendly staff.

“The lady who checked us in was very rude in the beginning. Her temper changed after a few minutes and she gave us a very nice strip view 18th floor room. I don't know why she behaved like that but it is a pretty bad first experience wit the MGM staff. Rooms are very nice and clean. We stayed there for two nights which was way to short. It is a long walk to the pool area. Expensive restaurants (even the buffets).”

• The location. The food was great. Great atmosphere.
• Nothing to complain about.

“It was Vegas. Everything was perfect the dining the casinos. We had a blast and will be back. I have worked in the hotel industry for eleven years and they by far exceeded my expectations. Loved the pool are.”

• The pool area's are excellent.
• Very crowded.

“The MGM is a busy hotel but a big step up in many way's from other hotels on the strip such as Bailey's.”

• The bed was comfy.
• I was very unimpressed with their level of customer service.

“It was an okay place to stay but, I was very unimpressed with the level of service that I would expect from a 3 or 4 star hotel. I had a few instances where I felt like I was simply staying at their hotel and not a guest.”

• The most comfortable bed you will ever sleep in.
• The room was a bit outdated.

“MGM is a good hotel. Everything about it was great. I like how they have the elevators set up so that there is not a wait to reach the higher level floors. Being on Tropicana Blvd it has nice access to the strip as well as Interstates.”

• You didn't have to leave. It had everything.
• No in-room coffee maker, fridge, microwave.

“MGM Grand has everything you need if you're not one to walk long distances up and down the strip. The room views are great especially at night. However, our room had an old chaise lounge missing some buttons and there were corn nuts on the floor. Also disappointed that an in-room fridge was $35/day extra, no coffeemaker or microwave. Only the pillows I will rate a 4-star quality. This is really a 3 to 3 1/2-star hotel in this writer's opinion.”

• When I checked in I got a free upgrade to a wonderful suite.
• There was a weird drain sound in the bathroom every once and a while.

“The hotel was great! I got a free room upgrade when I checked in. We got a huge suite with a great shower and separate bathtub. The bed was huge and there was a swivel TV so you could watch it in the living room area then turn it to watch it in bed. Room service was great. I ordered the steak and lobster and it was fantastic!”

• Wide variety of things to do on property.
• A little too Smokey from cigarette smoke inside.

“Great place to stay liked the accommodations. Plenty of things to do as well as close to all modes of transportation with onsite car rentals.”

• The size of the hotel room is big and the bed is very comfortable.
• The cleaning lady didn't refill the bathroom necessities such shampoo or soap often.

“Nice and clean lobby. The room is big and spacious. The bed and pillow is very comfortable.”

• The property is HUGE! Be prepared to hike a bit for everything!

• Good location, quality room.
• Everything costs extra.

“It was surprising for me to learn that the casinos and bars in the lass Vegas strip area do not restrict cigarette smoking. And people smoke like chimneys there. I would not go back just for that reason. Also, I appreciate that the hotel does not control access to the elevators. But it does mean that spume pretty shady people are milling about on the room floors.”

• Room looked brand new.
• Got "upgraded" to MGM Signature Tower, but it was about 2 blocks off the strip.

“I got upgraded to the MGM signature tower, which was quite nice, once I found it. However, the towers are way-way off the strip, at least 3 blocks away from the strip. It was fine, because I was only staying one night. However, had I intended to do things along Las Vegas Blvd, I would have been disappointed. The room seemed very much like a vacation time-share facility, but it was very nice.”

• The hotel was clean and beautiful.
• There were no vending machines for a late night snack or drink. My husband was gone for 30 minutes looking for a place to get a bottle of water.

“We were upgraded to a jr. suite at no extra charge and that was great. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms beautiful. The only big negative is that there are no vending machines on the hotel floors to get something to eat or drink once you are in the room for the night. Very inconvenient.”
