• Nice lobby.
• 1 of the 2 elevators was broken.

“Room was small/cramped and was expecting 1 king bed and 2 queens. Seemed to get 2 falls. I don't much care for the tropical theme too bright. Rooms could use a remodel tile and tub/shower area seemed to need some work. Employees were also loud in the hall. I thought it was noisy partiers, but turned out to be staff. Was a decent place ok location off the strip, clean, friendly front desk staff? Probably best for business travelers or if you are not planning to be in the room long.”

• The beds were like sleeping on a cloud.
• Not prepared for an emergency situation.

“The hotel, I believe, is underrated. Our stay was excellent. The staff was friendly, in most cases but not always. The only problem we had was that the hotel staff is not prepared to handle an emergency. There was a false fire alarm. After we evacuated the staff had no idea what was happening. Good thing is was a false alarm other than that it was an excellent stay.”

• It was clean and what a hotel should be.
• Located a bit away from the strip.

“The hotel satisfied the basic necessities and requirements of a moderate hotel. The both the public spaces and the personal quarters were clean. The service was helpful and courteous. The only con was the location being off of the actual strip. Being a Vegas trip, I felt that having an actual casino hotel room would've best complimented the whole experience.”

• Room size and bed quality were well above average!
• Parking was limited near hotel.

• Complementary hot breakfast.
• Some of the check in staff was stand off.

“Overall, this hotel was very good. I would recommend it definitely. A couple bad points, the heated pool was hardly heated, so basically useless in November, a big disappointment for my 7 year old. You have to pay for internet usage. It should be complementary at this day and age. These are strong points, but overall I enjoyed this hotel, especially the comp breakfast. That makes a big difference in budget and planning your daily events. It was also clean, safe and in a convenient location just off the strip.”

• It was fairly clean for the price.
• No non-smoking rooms.

“Rooms comfortable and problems with TV were promptly fixed. Very convenient but crowded, no view. Clean but tired and worn.”

• Great location just off the strip at an unbeatable price!
• No restaurant!

“Great location and very friendly staff. Free shuttle to the airport and 4 locations on the strip, can't beat that! Bar or pool area was nice with friendly employees.”

• Shuttle dint pickup at drop off on strip but this is minor.

• Nothing great, but fills the need to sleep.
• Did not get a double bed. Service to get rollaway was prompt.

“Hampton Inn is in a good location just blocks off the strip. Has good clean rooms and is alright if all you want is a good night sleep.”

• It was conveniently located off the strip.
• leaving the hotel parking lot was difficult. Traffic was always backed up. No non-smoking rooms.

“The staff were friendly enough but they wouldn't work with me on moving to a non-smoking room. I became ill because of the smell in the room from the previous smokers. They seem to have a shortage of non-smoking rooms. Couldn't sleep for two nights!”

• Close to Las Vegas Blvd and Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino

“Excellent. Friendly front desk staff. Clean, spacious rooms. Internet access and free breakfast are great perks. Friendly bartender. Gift shop full of toiletries and amenities, snacks, etc.”

• It was convenient to the location where we planed out whole trip for.
• The price I paid for the hotel could have been cheaper.

“A nice hotel with friendly staff that will take you to and from the airport and to (but not from) the Las Vegas Strip. Cab ride from the Strip to the hotel costs about $8 or $10.”

• Reasonable price, great facility, convenient location to the strip and convention facilities.

“Friendly, helpful staff...nice facility with great amenities. Close to the strip and convention facilites but without the exorbitant cost of the big name hotels. When I'm back in Vegas I'll stay at the Hampton Inn Las Vegas - Tropicana.”
