Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[4] • Location:[6]

  • The breakfast buffet.
  • Smokiness in lobby, very average.

“Good location if you don't mind to shuttle a bit, too far to walk. Very average in rooms, bed, etc. Loud air conditioning. Will be good to get a TGIF Fridays in house.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[6] • Location:[4]

  • The Staff was friendly.
  • The room was small, dark, and the window looked at a wall.

“It was a place to sleep.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[4] • Location:[8]

  • Non smoking room did not smell like smoke.
  • Front desk staff.

“This hotel is clean and nice. They gave me a King rather than two queens, so I had to wait 45 min. for a roll away. Front desk was not friendly.”

Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[7] • Location:[7]

  • Price.
  • Again, the smoky casino you have to walk through.

“The floor in the room looked like it had not been vacuumed. I just needed a room to sleep and get up early to catch a flight. I wasn't there to gamble and didn't like not being able to go directly to my room without walking through the casino.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[7] • Location:[8]

  • Location off strip was nice, and free shuttle to strip provided.
  • Shower was less than satisfactory; slow draining and real small.

“Smaller Las Vegas hotel, nice and friendly staff. Not fancy at all, but clean and relatively easy on non-smokers.”

Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[5] • Location:[3]

  • Fresh white linens & flat screen TV were a nice surprise.
  • Pretty far from the strip, taxi ride to $10-$12 one way.

“Good Points: Clean rooms, fair price, nice folks at the casino bars, fair priced drinks. Bad Points: very small bathrooms, lot's of noise at night from staff. Extra: try the bowling alley snack bar for a very good burger and sandwiches that are very cheap in price.”

Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[8] • Location:[7]

  • Good value for price.
  • They hotel is not being kept up.

“The hotel is a good value, fairly clean easy to get in and out of and relatively close to "The Strip". However, I don't believe they are keeping on top of their maintenance-spigot in bathroom was coming out of wall and sink kept getting plugged up. They need to invest some $$$ on upkeep. This is the kind of place that if not maintained could deteriorate fast.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[9] • Location:[5]

  • Good value.
  • Buffet not so good.

“Clean moderate hotel need shuttle to get to strip. Not so frequent at times. Stay away from buffet. Coffee shop was alright.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[9] • Location:[7]

  • Location is good, staff were nice, nice to have flat screen TV.
  • Not a good bed, whole hotel looked run down and slightly dirty.

“In comparison to other Boyd properties, i.e. Orleans, the Gold Coast is more run down and shabby, just because it caters to a lower end clientele doesn't mean it has to be dirty. The staff was nice, hotel was adequate but nothing special.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[8] • Location:[8]

  • Most of the staff was very personable.
  • The pool was too small.

“Convenient to airport, strip and hockey rink. Friendly staff. Plenty of gaming tables. Would stay again.”

Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[4] • Location:[5]

  • Shuttle to strip.
  • Not worth the money.

“This hotel is located off the strip; it was advertised as a 3-4 star hotel, however, it should be a one or two star. It was so cheap there were not any comforters on the bed only an extra sheet.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[9] • Location:[7]

  • Good price good service and close to the strip 15m walk.
  • Waiting for the shuttle clients did not respect line of arrival of other guest.

“Sort of western style all commodities.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[8] • Location:[9]

  • Great price for a clean & comfortable room. Great Location.
  • Though they are clean, the bathrooms need updating.

“Though this hotel doesn't look like much from the outside, you are pleasantly surprised once inside. It is older, but well maintained in the lobby & casino. Rooms were recently renovated & are nicer than on my last stay. Rooms are spacious & clean. The bathrooms need updating. They are a time warp to the 70's with brown tub & toilette. But if the color of the tub is all there is to complain about, that's not too bad. Location is slightly off the strip, but right next to the Palms & the Rio. Very short cab ride to the strip. A great value for the price.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[9] • Location:[8]

  • The Flat panel TV and the room size.
  • The bed was too firm and I hated the sheet/blanket setup.

“The hotel had a good location and the buffet was okay. I wish the beds had real bedding not a sheet with thin blanket and then another sheet on top set up.”

  • It was very cozy, and the staff was excellent. I especially loved I mean loved one of the restaurants in the hotel I ate there everyday.
  • The pillows and the blanket.

“It was a great hotel, with a wonderful atmosphere. The people there were very friendly and helpful with all my needs. There was just a thin blanket on the bed and 3 small pillows that was the only bad thing about the hotel but I called housekeeping and they brought me more right away. I slept so great. There was a restaurant in the hotel that I ate at all three nights because the price was very reasonable, the staff was excellent, and the food was beyond wonderful. I would recommend that restaurant to anyone traveling there.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[9] • Location:[9]

  • Good accommodations, surprisingly enjoyable and convenient.
  • There were no bedspreads and washcloths, no free wifi.

“The gold coast offered everything we would expect from a Las Vegas hotel. We were pleasantly surprised. It was clean and well kept. There was a variety of restaurant choices within the hotel that included a nice buffet. It's just a little off of the beaten track but not too far. Having our own vehicle helped with getting around and it's only a very short taxi to the big hotels AMD Main Strip.”

  • The selection at the buffet restaurant was excellent.
  • Unfortunately, people are still allowed to smoke in Las Vegas hotels.

“When you're in Vegas, all hotels are pretty much the same room wise (okay, there may be a few exceptions), so why pay premium prices for similar hotel rooms on the strip? You can park your car in virtually any hotel's car park so why not book the Gold Coast and drive the short distance to the strip and park somewhere else during the day. Even if you're going to drink, you can always leave the car and either walk the 20 minutes back to the Gold Coast or you can catch a cab for a few bucks. Either way, you'll still save a significant amount of spending money.”
