“Good location if you don't mind to shuttle a bit, too far to walk. Very average in rooms, bed, etc. Loud air conditioning. Will be good to get a TGIF Fridays in house.”

“This hotel is clean and nice. They gave me a King rather than two queens, so I had to wait 45 min. for a roll away. Front desk was not friendly.”

“The floor in the room looked like it had not been vacuumed. I just needed a room to sleep and get up early to catch a flight. I wasn't there to gamble and didn't like not being able to go directly to my room without walking through the casino.”

“Smaller Las Vegas hotel, nice and friendly staff. Not fancy at all, but clean and relatively easy on non-smokers.”

“Good Points: Clean rooms, fair price, nice folks at the casino bars, fair priced drinks. Bad Points: very small bathrooms, lot's of noise at night from staff. Extra: try the bowling alley snack bar for a very good burger and sandwiches that are very cheap in price.”

“The hotel is a good value, fairly clean easy to get in and out of and relatively close to "The Strip". However, I don't believe they are keeping on top of their maintenance-spigot in bathroom was coming out of wall and sink kept getting plugged up. They need to invest some $$$ on upkeep. This is the kind of place that if not maintained could deteriorate fast.”

“Clean moderate hotel need shuttle to get to strip. Not so frequent at times. Stay away from buffet. Coffee shop was alright.”

“In comparison to other Boyd properties, i.e. Orleans, the Gold Coast is more run down and shabby, just because it caters to a lower end clientele doesn't mean it has to be dirty. The staff was nice, hotel was adequate but nothing special.”

“This hotel is located off the strip; it was advertised as a 3-4 star hotel, however, it should be a one or two star. It was so cheap there were not any comforters on the bed only an extra sheet.”

“Though this hotel doesn't look like much from the outside, you are pleasantly surprised once inside. It is older, but well maintained in the lobby & casino. Rooms were recently renovated & are nicer than on my last stay. Rooms are spacious & clean. The bathrooms need updating. They are a time warp to the 70's with brown tub & toilette. But if the color of the tub is all there is to complain about, that's not too bad. Location is slightly off the strip, but right next to the Palms & the Rio. Very short cab ride to the strip. A great value for the price.”

“The hotel had a good location and the buffet was okay. I wish the beds had real bedding not a sheet with thin blanket and then another sheet on top set up.”

“It was a great hotel, with a wonderful atmosphere. The people there were very friendly and helpful with all my needs. There was just a thin blanket on the bed and 3 small pillows that was the only bad thing about the hotel but I called housekeeping and they brought me more right away. I slept so great. There was a restaurant in the hotel that I ate at all three nights because the price was very reasonable, the staff was excellent, and the food was beyond wonderful. I would recommend that restaurant to anyone traveling there.”

“The gold coast offered everything we would expect from a Las Vegas hotel. We were pleasantly surprised. It was clean and well kept. There was a variety of restaurant choices within the hotel that included a nice buffet. It's just a little off of the beaten track but not too far. Having our own vehicle helped with getting around and it's only a very short taxi to the big hotels AMD Main Strip.”

“When you're in Vegas, all hotels are pretty much the same room wise (okay, there may be a few exceptions), so why pay premium prices for similar hotel rooms on the strip? You can park your car in virtually any hotel's car park so why not book the Gold Coast and drive the short distance to the strip and park somewhere else during the day. Even if you're going to drink, you can always leave the car and either walk the 20 minutes back to the Gold Coast or you can catch a cab for a few bucks. Either way, you'll still save a significant amount of spending money.”
