  • The room we had was small and cramped.

“Although this hotel was rated 3 stars, it felt more like a 2 star. It was adequate for a single person staying just one night, but if you are planning a vacation, find something better.”

  • Hotel had a nice bar/gameroom/sports bar.
  • Hotel elevator was out of commission and we had to climb two flights of stairs to room!

“Conveniently located to airport and Boise State. Spacious and clean rooms with facilities to accommodate business people. Good dining and sports bar/gameroom for entertainment. Room rate was a bargain!”

  • Low nightly rate.
  • Room furnishings are getting old.

“Hotel is OK, but it did not meet my expectations for a 3-star hotel. The mattress was too soft, the pillows were uncomfortable, and in general the room looked dated.”

  • Clean and very nice bathrooms.
  • No elevator.

“Clean, friendly and secure.”

  • Close to downtown.
  • Road noise, no night light in bathroom.

“Conveniently located to downtown area, rooms are a bit dated but well worth the price, coffee shop has limited breakfast menu.”

  • Newer remodeled rooms.
  • Facility was older than expected.

“The room was fairly comfortable and clean but I would not rate the hotel as a 3-star. Probably more in the 2.5 star range. It is a little tough to access from the freeway but all around a fairly pleasant experience.”

  • Location.
  • They forgot to make our breakfast.

“It was okay, no good channels and they forgot our breakfast.”

  • The hotel was very clean and modern.
  • The TV channel selection was not very good.

“The hotel was nice. At check-in, the woman was very nice and allowed us to check in almost three hours before we were supposed to. The room was very well appointed. The only problem we really had there was the electronic card scanners. They were very touchy and it took us some time to get into our room and into the pool area. Also, the pool was not very clean. It had a lot of leaves in it. However, the hotel itself was very clean. The furnishings were very modern.”

  • Price was good.
  • Across the street from a club! No complimentary breakfast.

“It is an older hotel across the street from a club! I am not sure what makes a hotel have higher stars. If it is because of the overpriced room service or restaurants on site, that is ridiculous. I would take a Comfort Inn, Holiday Inn Express, etc. any day. Even local calls were not free. Cable selection was poor as well in comparison with other chains.”

  • Nice bed, quartz bathroom finish, nice pillows.
  • Older, rougher area of town, inconvenient location.

“This hotel reflected an older establishment with a nice, quiet room, and good bed, in a older part of the city. We found the management competent, and a pleasant staff. There is no free continental breakfast at this location.”

  • It was beautiful and easy to find.
  • No free breakfast and no fridge or microwave.

“Overall,
I think it is a great hotel, except for the fact you have to pay for breakfast the next morning, and there isn't a fridge to stock up yourself.”

  • The rooms were very nice, the beds fantastic.
  • The lobby and hallways need to be updated, smell smokey.

“The rooms are nice, the bed was fantastic. Pass on the hotel restaurant, the sports bar was lively and friendly. Didn't have time to use the hotel gym but peeked in; nicer than most.”

  • Beds were very comfy.
  • Room needed repairs.

“It was nice, but not convenient to places to eat. The room needed repairs done.”

  • Everything, especially the soft beds
  • two twin-like size beds

“If you stay at Red Lion you can't go wrong. Very comfortable beds and nice size rooms. The bar served great food at a very reasonable price. All of the staff was nice and friendly.”

  • Comfortable bed.
  • Needs refrigerator/microwave.

“The staff was friendly, everything was clean, comfortable.”

  • Nice atmosphere, the room was well appointed, and the whole experience was great.
  • We were the only people on the floor, and still got the room by the elevator.

“Nicely appointed, great colors, and my wife was impressed. The bar downstairs was adequate, and the room was comfortable, clean, and decorated in a nice way. The staff was very polite and friendly, took great care of us, and went over and above to make sure we felt taken care of. The location was great for downtown, and the hotel was definitely a cut above the rest of the establishments nearby. I would totally recommend this hotel, and my Priceline price was excellent!”

  • Bathroom was fairly spacious.
  • Rooms are cramped, double beds (no queen beds), hot tub didn't work.

“This is not a 3-star hotel. It's OK for a budget hotel, but you really need to take it off the list for 3 star hotels. It's adequate for the amount of time we spent in the room (little) but the beds are small (doubles), barely room to walk between beds and TV armoire. The hot tub didn't work. Beds were quite uncomfortable.”

  • The hotel was clean, attractive, and comfortable.
  • While the remodeling of this hotel is nice, the bathroom and room doors could have used an upgrade as well.

“The hotel is a great economical value. It is close to downtown, and is great for business travelers. I used the hotel gym and was pleased with the quality of the equipment, and good use of space. Be prepared for the hotel to debit an extra $40 out of your account, and then credit it back to you once your stay is complete. I am use to hotels holding my card number, but not actually debiting my account. This was not stated up front, and I was very disappointed.”

  • It was very clean and the room we stayed in had great access to the pool. The front desk clerk was helpful in asking us if we would like a room close.

“Great!”
