  • The hotel was very clean and modern.
  • The TV channel selection was not very good.

“The hotel was nice. At check-in, the woman was very nice and allowed us to check in almost three hours before we were supposed to. The room was very well appointed. The only problem we really had there was the electronic card scanners. They were very touchy and it took us some time to get into our room and into the pool area. Also, the pool was not very clean. It had a lot of leaves in it. However, the hotel itself was very clean. The furnishings were very modern.”

  • Price was good.
  • Across the street from a club! No complimentary breakfast.

“It is an older hotel across the street from a club! I am not sure what makes a hotel have higher stars. If it is because of the overpriced room service or restaurants on site, that is ridiculous. I would take a Comfort Inn, Holiday Inn Express, etc. any day. Even local calls were not free. Cable selection was poor as well in comparison with other chains.”

  • Nice bed, quartz bathroom finish, nice pillows.
  • Older, rougher area of town, inconvenient location.

“This hotel reflected an older establishment with a nice, quiet room, and good bed, in a older part of the city. We found the management competent, and a pleasant staff. There is no free continental breakfast at this location.”

  • It was beautiful and easy to find.
  • No free breakfast and no fridge or microwave.

“Overall,
I think it is a great hotel, except for the fact you have to pay for breakfast the next morning, and there isn't a fridge to stock up yourself.”

  • The rooms were very nice, the beds fantastic.
  • The lobby and hallways need to be updated, smell smokey.

“The rooms are nice, the bed was fantastic. Pass on the hotel restaurant, the sports bar was lively and friendly. Didn't have time to use the hotel gym but peeked in; nicer than most.”

  • Beds were very comfy.
  • Room needed repairs.

“It was nice, but not convenient to places to eat. The room needed repairs done.”

  • Everything, especially the soft beds
  • two twin-like size beds

“If you stay at Red Lion you can't go wrong. Very comfortable beds and nice size rooms. The bar served great food at a very reasonable price. All of the staff was nice and friendly.”

  • The hotel was clean, attractive, and comfortable.
  • While the remodeling of this hotel is nice, the bathroom and room doors could have used an upgrade as well.

“The hotel is a great economical value. It is close to downtown, and is great for business travelers. I used the hotel gym and was pleased with the quality of the equipment, and good use of space. Be prepared for the hotel to debit an extra $40 out of your account, and then credit it back to you once your stay is complete. I am use to hotels holding my card number, but not actually debiting my account. This was not stated up front, and I was very disappointed.”

  • It was very clean and the room we stayed in had great access to the pool. The front desk clerk was helpful in asking us if we would like a room close.

“Great!”

  • Only had two double beds as an option.

  • Close to downtown Boise.
  • Too loud, sliding glass door lock not very secure.

“I would definitely not rate this hotel as a three star hotel. The pool was very functional but had no resort type feel to it. The workout room was nice, but fairly small and only had a few things. The strip bar environment across the street was not peaceful or safe feeling late at night.”

  • Clean and close to BSU where our business was located.
  • They need a continental breakfast.

  • Nothing.

  • Great staff.
  • Too much cleaning solution used in the room.

“First time at a Red Lion hotel, and we will return there soon.”

  • It was clean for the most part.
  • Pool was closed. No
DVD player, old TV's, not many channels with cable.

“The elevator was broken, the staff helped as minimal as possible. It had no DVD player, the TV's were old style with not very many channels, the sheets were old and would not stay on the beds, therefore leaving us directly on the mattress. Room service was extremely slow.”
