“We had a problem with the AC not working and the desk was non-responsive. We had to go down to the desk to get any help. There was no attempt to compensate for the inconvenience. The AC runs into the window treatment so it takes a long time for the room to cool off. The AC is turned off when you arrive and it is quite hot!”

“Elevator a long way from many rooms. Ours was 3rd floor, the furthest room. We do recognize that this was a holiday weekend.”

“The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious. We were there for New Years Eve and there was no out of control roudyness. The grounds were kept clean even through the wind storm. Staff was polite and helpful.”

“The comfort suite was beyond our expectations. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. Our only complaint would be that the room needed a small desk or table for counter space. Overall 9 out of ten and very affordable.”

“The hotel was being painted and updated while I was there and it was very much what I expected with a larger size room than what I had anticipated. It was very pleasant.”

“The room was disgusting, it was so dirty, we tried to change rooms immediately but were told no rooms were available. We booked it for three nights and left after two nights. The carpet was filthy with stains, it looked like it hadn't been replaced or cleaned since it was first installed. I was afraid to walk barefoot in the room The furniture was old and chipped, the TV had only a few stations available and was so old and outdated. When my husband tried to change rooms two times , the woman at the desk was very rude and not at all helpful. The air-conditioning-heating unit was noisy and impossible to control room temperature. It looked like it was from an old motel. When asked about in room movies I was told there aren't any available, and again the woman at the desk was rude. The room was stuffy and smelly. Very disappointed in a hotel chain such as Comfort Suites”

“For anyone who just needs a bed, a shower, and a place to store their suitcase while they visit palm springs and the surrounding area comfort suites was fantastic. It is a little run down, but not to the point that it spoils your stay there. I had a room over looking the mountain right behind us, beautiful view. I could have started hiking from the parking loti would definitely recommend this to friends who just need a quick (and cheap) place to stay. If you are going to hang around your room allot, I might suggest accommodations with a few more stars. Also as a person who has a fear of desert insects, the rooms were very clean and I did not notice any bugs upon a close inspection of the cabinets and under the bed. Just fey.”

“We thought we were getting a true suite, which our room wasn't. It was more like a motel: one room with a 4-foot high divider separating the bed and living room. There was no kitchen, just a wobbly refrigerator with a microwave set on top of the refrigerator. When walking to our room, we noticed many ice buckets set up to catch the condensation from the air conditioners. The next morning they were still full and overflowing on to the walkways. There was white "caked-on" stuff on the carpeting. In the "bedroom," the TV cable wire was pulled from the wall, causing a hole. While in the bathroom, I saw many very small bugs crawling around the door jam and bathtub. The TV reception was horrible. We complained to the front desk about the TV reception and bugs. I was told that every room was the same, and the wind had knocked out the cable, and it wouldn't be fixed until 2 days later. Tile floors were very sticky. (There were no other rooms available for us to move to.) But the worst thing was to come. When we wanted to shower and go to sleep, we found that the deadbolt would not work. It was stuck. My husband tried for a long time to get it to budge, but it did not. We called the front desk and was told someone would be up to check it. After 30 minutes, we called again. Much later, a "technician" finally came with WD-40 and tried for a long time to get it to work. All total, it took three hours for the tech to figure out that it would not work, except with vice grips. The tech had said that we were secure anyway, with the litle "swing hook" thing that is similar to a door "chain." I told her that anyone could kick in the door and the "swing hook" thing would open. She said, no, it won't, and pulled on the door (with that latch on), and the molding on the door frame actually pulled away from the wall! Obviously, anyone could easily kick open the door, as the "tech" did it effortlessy (and she was a petite girl). So, my husband and I placed a table and the sofabed against the door, so no one could come in. The next morning, we had another problem. After we had gone down for breakfast, we found that our hotel key card did not work. We could not get into our room. We went to the front desk, and a woman said she would get the master key. her master key did no work. She said she would call a technician, and someone would be up to us soon. After waiting a long time, a "technician" finally got the door open. We were told to prop the door open while we packed up and brought our belongings to our car. That meant that we had to take turns going to the car. I wrote to the hotel, and the Choice Hotel chain about our horrible stay. They replied via email, stating that we would be contacted within 7 to 10 days. Today one month later, and we still haven't heard anything from the hotel or the chain. You'd think that they would want to make things right, after all we went through. Obviously, they just do not care. ”

“Overall, it was a fairly nice hotel. We ended up in the handicap room which was a bit inconvenient since the shower didn't have a way to hook up higher in the wall. Good location, but housekeeping left our door open until we returned very late at night. Nothing was stolen, but the staff didn't seem to care about our complaint.”

“Fine except that our room smelled like smoke covered over by too much air freshener. It was a non smoking room. Tried to get internet connection and they only have 10 rooms with internet and we were minutes too late.”
