“Very quaint setting. Quiet and restful. Lacking a closet area and bathroom sink didn't make me feel deprived. I just folded and rolled up my extra clothes in the dresser and used the sink on top of the refrigerator next to the microwave. The parking was excellent and access back to the main road is very safe compared to many motels located in the inner city areas. It's okay to have low pressure fixtures in the bathroom. My house in Palmdale was built that way in 1991. Water is scarce due to lack of rain in big bear, but when the person who installed the shower head did a lousy job letting 3/4 of the water flow go down the drain. Done correctly, there should be no overflow of water. I had a very comfortable stay at this motel and am going back again this weekend for the second weekend of the 6th big bear renaissance faire.”

“This hotel is just ok. The room was reasonably large and included a table & chairs, microwave and small fridge. However it was frigid when we arrived. The heater did heat the room, but we found it was either full blast or off so we either cooked or froze. The second day we awoke to find no towels in the bathroom. Since the front desk doesn't open until 9:00 there was no one to go to for help. When I checked out I got to express my concern to a very young girl who acted as though she probably had a hangover. Not particularly impressed.”

“The hotel is clean, bedroom is ok (beds are firm and comfortable) but when we arrived the heater didn¿t work and as we arrived at 10 pm, nobody were there to help us. So we spent a cold night. The prostrations in the hotel are poor (no restaurant, so no breakfast). The remote of the TV didn¿t work.”

“I recently stayed at the Big Bear Lakefront Lodge and had the best time ever. The rooms were very cozy and warm with the fireplace in the corner and the very efficient heater. There was a little balcony where I got to watch the sunset over the lake. It was really a relaxing trip and it felt great to get some fresh mountain air. The only thing I did notice that they could install some phones in the rooms. I had forgot the charger for my cell phone and was unable to dial out. Maybe that is all part of the mountain experience.
I had a great time and strongly suggest this hotel.”
