• Helpful staff, breakfast was good.
• Hot tub green water, smelled moldy, beds were old.

“I would not stay here again, they need to invest in some high quality beds so you can get restful sleep.”

• Location at truck stop exit outside Post Falls.

“Hotel accommodations were adequate. Room was spacious. Be advised though, this hotel is essentially located on the outskirts of Post Falls at what I consider a truck stop. Hotel offers 1+ floors of smoking rooms.”

• Room was spacious and clean.
• Indoor pool was cloudy, over-chlorinated and cold; Jacuzzi was filthy and unusable.

“We were happy to find the rooms clean and tidy. The staff was friendly and responsive, but the 24-hrs indoor pool and Jacuzzi that we were so looking forward to were such a terrible disappointment. The pool area has numerous huge windows that face directly into the parking and entrance area and the truck stop across the street, making us feel rather self-conscious before we even got in the water. The pool itself was quite cold for being indoors and the water was very murky and cloudy, terribly over-chlorinated to make up for its lack of regular cleaning, it appeared. The Jacuzzi was completely unusable. It was only half full of greenish, murky water and the jets didn't appear to work at all. Cold as we were after our dip in the pool, we were not about to step into that Jacuzzi. We were so disappointed. Everything else about the hotel was fine, but when traveling with children, the main draw is the pool, so it tainted our whole experience.”

“There was not any towels in the bathroom and the shower curtain was thrown over a bar in the tub. Had to ask for clean towels and the person at the desk was by himself and could not get away to bring some towels. When he brought them no wash cloths. The soap and shampoo were the lowest quality they could find. We will never stay there again. I went to the coffee area as I needed a cup, pots were there but no coffee.”

• Location was very poor. Front desk staff was not very professional.

“I think this hotel is inconveniently located and the front desk staff is not particularly cooperative to accommodating particular requests.”

• Room not clean, staff smoked outside our window.

“The room walls were extremely thin, you kid hear normal conversation from other guests. There were drinking glass rings on our night stands that stayed there for two days, until I cleaned them off. The blankets and bedding were very old and tattered. The housekeeping staff sat in back of the hotel & smoked, the smoke drifted into our room. Our room keys deactivated several times.”

• Great rooms, something for older kids to do, pool & pool table.
• Too far from silverwood amusement park.

“Was easy to get on and off freeway from hotel, the rooms were very nice for a 2 star hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. This was a very pleasant experience for our family.”

• It was convenient to get to and easy to find.
• The small room with only one bed. The gap under the door.

“The bed was comfortable. The pillows were comfortable. It is convenient to get to and it is visible from the freeway.”

• Housekeeping was terrible.

“Rooms are ok for the price. Housekeeping didn't pickup dirty towels, did leave clean ones though. If you are only sleeping there, not bad, otherwise it lacked substance.”

• Too noise with; people running around after hours.

“Everything was excellent with the exception that the staff didn't control the people that were making too much noise after hours. Also on one of my blankets there were cigarette burns and the Jacuzzi smell like feet.”

“I will do everything in my power to spread the word to as many people as possible to never use Howard Johnson after this. I had to go spend more money to get hotel rooms instead of being able to stay in the rooms I had previously paid for. I was unhappy and will never stay at Howard Johnson with their customer service. The staff gave me a king bed room with myself and three teenage boys. Avoid this hotel at all costs!”

• The front desk called me to make sure I got into my room ok.
• I was in a smoking room at the end of the hall and did not feel safe.

“The location of Hojo in post falls is actually on the outskirts of the town and close to a truck stop where there was a lot of noise, especially at night. I was placed in a smoking room (I do not smoke) and was not asked a preference. There were only about 20 cable channels working. The room was small.”
