• It was conveniently located to the zoo.
• The cable was not working, the pool was not heated.

“I would not recommend this hotel to anyone! They are going out of business at the end of the month, so they have let the place go. Our room did not have cable and the pool was not heated! Furthermore, the maintenance man couldn't do anything about it, since the owners were not willing to fix anything.”

• Its location made for easy traveling due to its proximity to major freeways.
• The building itself could stand to be improved aesthetically.

“For being located in San Diego, this hotel was a good deal and was fairly nice considering it was one of the cheapest hotels I could find. The room was clean and spacious and seemed to be very safe and comfortable.”

• The smell and the mold growing on the walls

“We will never stay there again or recommend it to anyone else! It smelled really bad and my sister had to change rooms because the mold and mildew smell was so overpowering and the walls behind the drapes were covered in mold. And they kept canceling our key cards and they gave us a lot of run around. It is amazing to me that they are able to operate with a mold problem. There were perfume smells in the rooms to cover the mold smell and that just made it worse. We were very disappointed because we had such a great experience last year in the hotel we stayed at in California. We will never stay at that hotel again or recommend it!”

• The staff was friendly especially Vanessa who works the front desk at night.
• The blankets on the bed had cigarette burns and there was no continental breakfast.

“Like I have said before Vanessa that works at night is really nice. They should have some kind of continental breakfast as most places are to far to walk to.”
