• The bed was comfortable. It was nice having a continental breakfast.
• When you looked out the window, all you saw was the parking lot and trash bin, not very attractive.

• Day receptionist was very helpful and genuine.
• The overnight receptionist treated me like a homeless person when I wanted a breakfast roll. Terrible customer service.

“All was great and fine except for the overnight into the morning receptionist. Absolutely no people skills, intimidating, would not give me his name and completely ignored me when I in formed him that I was not happy and the spirit of the hotel business is to make you feel like you are at home. He treated like I was a homeless person.”

• This hotel was only 10 minute walk to the transit system.
• That the street it's located on is a bit difficult to find at night.

“I enjoy my stay; the short walk to the transit system was perfect. I was able to enjoy Downtown San Diego with out the hassle of try to find parking or navigating through one way streets. The Hotel was very clean and the bed was just right, not too soft or hard. I will keep this hotel in mind when I return to San Diego.”

• What surprised me about his hotel was the distance from the attractions. Pretty convenient I would say.
• Cant think of any as of this moment.

“Would recommend this place to everyone that I know. Not that long trip to Downtown (attractions) less than ten miles maybe less. Staff was friendly and courteous. No problem with the parking even though we got back to our hotel late in the evening. I would definitely go back to "Howard Johnson" and would highly recommend this place.”

• Clean room.
• Rough area, empty pool, and poor quality room repairs.

“Due to short notice, this was the only room we could find. I would not recommend it more than just a place to sleep. Watch your cars, it is a rough area.”

• Free breakfast, price, had microwave & fridge in room. They had free HBO.
• People outside my hotel room arguing, using fowl language, the room was very small & there were allot of mosquitoes, I killed 6 in my room.

“Hotel was not bad for the price. The free breakfast every morning was very nice. That helped a lot when you have small children. Hotel staff was nice but they never smiled. Rooms were very clean so that's a plus. Not enough parking when you come back late at night. I did that one night and I had to park on the main street and walk to my room with 3 small children.”

• The front desk agent who checked me in was very helpful.
• The night manager needs lessons on hospitality.

“The room was small and only somewhat clean. The water from the toilet and sinks was yellow. The night manager was stingy about giving out clean towels and soap. I would have preferred motel 6 over this place.”

• The lady in the front desk was rude.

“It was nice and quiet. the room felt like it was your own. the people who stayed with me also enjoyed the room and said it was nice and affordable If in the future i would travel I would look to see if in the area i am traveling to book at the same hotel.”
