• The pool was nice.
• Air conditioning did not work properly, no towels at the pool.

“This hotel has a long way to go in order to live up to the quality the advertise and the price they charge. The should be considered more of a motel than hotel.”

• Man was great in check in he is a great employee. The cook was great and food was excellent. Our server was awesome.
• Room was to small for 4 people.

• It was close to the major freeways, attractive and friendly.
• Speed of the elevators and lack there of.

“The desk clerks were pleasant and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very good and the food was hot. The room was clean and the bed was a little too soft. You are given lots of pillows. There were only two elevators and they were quite slow. Overall, it was a great stay.”

• I liked the location from the highways/main thoroughfare into San Diego.
• The waiters at the restaurant were not very good.

“This hotel is in a good location. It is easily accessible to I-8 and I-805 which are main arteries into San Diego. I will definitely come back here again.”

• The pool and hot tub are great and the breakfast buffet at the restaurant was good, too.

“I came to the Courtyard by Marriott with minimal expectations and they were definitely exceeded. This place was great! Convenient, affordable, and practical. I would love to stay there again.”

• Nice clean large rooms, nice pool, Jacuzzi, and lounge area.
• Staff slow / not very responsive at coffee and snack bar.

• Located in an industrial area hard to retrieve a taxi and the elevators are in a bad location.

• Very nice room with comfortable queen size bed. Loved the balcony overlooking the pool and lush garden.
• Needs a gift shop.

“This is a very nice hotel just off the 163 freeway. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Outside the traffic is noisy, however, once in your room, it's extremely quiet. The room was a good size with two queen beds, cable TV, game boy and internet access. I will stay at this hotel again as I was extremely pleased. ”

• Water $3 a bottle? Yikes!

• The staff was so very friendly and helpful, and professional at the same time.
• The only thing at all was that there were only two bath towels in the morning, and four of us taking showers in the morning.

“It was a very pleasant experience, from the helpful directions given late at night to help us get there, the front desk staff was very welcoming and professional. The wait staff at their restaurant was so courteous, and their breakfast buffet was great (half price for kids!). We will definitely be staying there on our next trip to San Diego.”

• Cleanliness and comfortable beds.
• Location - Obscure location, hard to find.

“Not bad, good price, clean and comfortable. Just hard to find and expensive for cab rides to and from the Chargers/Packers games (which in hindsight might have been cheaper than parking at the stadium) Friendly staff. I had to get a billing issue resolved a few days later because they charged me for a extra day when I was only there for 1 night, but the girl who helped me resolve that was polite and professional. I would go back at this price, but the location is some what of a drawback.”

• No hidden resort fees, no problems checking out late.
• Not the hotel's fault, but there were some guys smoking pot on our floor.

“Overall, not a bad place to stay. Clean rooms that appear to be new or at least newly furnished, very comfortable bed and pillows, nice bathroom, good TV channel selection, lots of parking. Looked like a nice pool and hot tub, but we didn't get a chance to enjoy it. Sounded like lots of families with kids were enjoying the pool over the holiday weekend.”

• Very nice accommodations.
• Had a struggle to secure a non-smoking room, could not get two beds.

“It was a pleasant enough atmosphere, clean and comfortable. Staff was unwilling to guarantee a non-smoking room. I had to call 3 times before I was told I would get it. I was told no 2 bed rooms were available. After arrival I saw many children staying there which was no doubt the reason for the non-availability. Food was good and reasonably priced. They had a nice swimming pool also. They say they are in Mission Valley, but in fact they are north of the valley off the 163 fwy”

“I had a bad experience with the hotel staff and the room type requested was an issue along with getting a refer in my room for our baby, which was requested a week in advance. The overall hotel was nice and accommodating Hotel was clean and the layout was nice.”
