• Location, extras in room, next to Petco field.
• The seating in lobby right next to elevators.

“The hotel was immaculate, the room was clean and had a hip modern bathroom. The beds were very comfy. The pool was nice and warm. Valets are fast and attentive, offering driving directions without needing to ask. The location was EXCELLENT if you want to go to clubs or sidewalk cafes and many great restaurants in the gas lamp district or to Petco for a ball game. There is an escalator inside the hotel that goes right into the park. There is a trolley stop on the other side of the restaurant that is next door to the hotel. From that trolley you have easy access to The Horton Plaza shopping mall with upscale shops or Little Italy with many sidewalk cafes, the Embarcadero or the Maritime Museum- that's where the Midway, a mothballed aircraft carrier- is moored.”

• Great front desk and valet service.
• Housekeeping knocked on our door 3 or 4 times before we checked out in the morning.

• Toy bag for my three-year-old son. He loved it! Free juice refills, too. Fireworks from Padre game.
• $30 a day for valet parking.

• Excellent location to the Gaslamp and Petco Park.
• The bathroom doors.

“Excellent staff. Great location to Petco Park and Gaslamp District. Absolutely no privacy in the bathroom because the doors slide and there is no exhaust or noise reduction of any kind.”

• Location in Gas Lamp District and hotel staff-would stay again.
• It has to be the $30 Valet Parking.

“The Omni is a very modern and well appointed hotel in the Gas Lamp District. I requested a non-smoking king before my arrival and the staff was able to comply with my request even on a Friday night. You are on the ocean side of Downtown, so you will have to walk a few blocks to get into the Gas Lamp District. There was no Padre game next door at Petco Park the nights I stayed, so I cannot comment as to how this would affect the hotel stay. You can park across the street in the 6th & K Parkade, but expect to pay $16-$17 for overnight parking (Cash Only). The bathrooms are nicely sized, but have very little counter space as they leave glass shelves mounted on the wall for your toiletries. The bedroom is tight (King Bed) as they have sacrificed space in the bedroom to keep the bathroom roomy. You can hear the trolley horn as they approach the station in the front of the hotel, and the backside of the hotel exposes you to the music coming from the Hard Rock Hotel complex. The walls between rooms are thin too. Anybody who is a light sleeper may want to bring ear plugs or try another Downtown hotel.”

• Unreasonably noisy at night.

“This is a hotel to avoid. It is right by the train station. There is not enough sound protection and you will be woken up throughout the night at all hours by trains, sometimes for extended periods.”

• Every thing was at least 4 star quality.
• Similar hotels usually serve complimentary continental breakfasts, or at least you get a free cookie.

“Love the stay. Loved the room. Loved the view. Room was very clean. Bed and sheets were comfortable. Service was excellent. Free wireless internet. Suited more towards business travelers than leisure. Only thing missing was the free cookie or continental breakfast that you get at some other hotels. So it gets a 9/10. Cookie important!”

“The Omni Hotel was more than I expected. A very classy operation. Rooms were fantastic, view of the bay was terrific. Staff was very friendly. I will stay there in the future.”

• The TV was too small in room. Would expect large flat.

• Nice looking hotel in a convenient location.
• Parking is horrible, even for the garages near by.

• Convenient, that's all.
• Dirty bed spread and December. Pillows, bed pillow smell sweat, tub hair.

“Will never stay here again. From beginning at desk was lied to about parking. The hotel men knew I would not be leaving parking more than once/day. So I would pay $16.00/day. The bed spread/pillows were filthy. I hesitated to call desk after what I had already been through, now 1:00 am, with valet parking. The rooms are expensive and you can't use anything unless you pay extra. I went in knowing that, but all I wanted was cleanliness. Couldn't even get to the coffee pot. Was not easily available. Should have stayed with the rest of my family at the Travelodge. They had no problems at all.”

“We love staying at this hotel. Located conveniently in Downtown San Diego, you enter into sanctuary. Clean, spa like atmosphere in the rooms. Resort style pool. I could spend happy moments just looking at the flower-water arrangements in the lobby.”

• The location was excellent. Everything was within walking distance.
• The coffee pot was broken.

“The staff was courteous and helpful. It was clean, the amenities were excellent. It was well deserving of a four star rating. If available try to get a room on that overlooks the baseball stadium. The view is awesome.”

“Had a great time. Wonderful location. Good dinner at McCormick's pricey but good. Valet parking efficient but too small for this size hotel. Happy to find a newer hotel with windows that open!”

• Liked the nice pool outside and the nice view.
• Didn't like the pricey parking rate. Front door man wasn't friendly sometimes.

• Friendly and fast service a wonderful pool area that shows a portion of the harbor and Coronado bridge.
• I have Complaints.

“My stay at the Omni Hotel was wonderful. I plan this trip with my family. The rooms were very spacious and the bathroom was huge with a bath tub and a separate shower, which was very useful. I asked for more towels and pillows and they were sent up right away less than 5 minutes. I was able to stay on a high floor no questions asked which looked over the harbor and the Coronado bay bridge. The pool facilities were amazing and clean it wasn't too crowded and there were towels at you convince. Me and my family wanted to go around shopping at the local malls and the front desk printed out maps that were very useful and gave us suggestions on the best places to shop. The hotel is basically a half a block from the gas lamp district, which was great cause we walked every night to dinner and to the local shops. I had a wonderful stay at the Omni Hotel and I would recommend it to anyone!”
