• Beautiful area, great rooms, friendly service.
• We liked everything about it.

“This hotel was quaint, had charm, enjoyed staying in it very much, enjoyed the shampoo and lotion, nice outside balcony, close to good restaurants within walking distance.”

• It is 20 years old hotel without renovation. It is not worthy to been rated four stars.

“Hilton Mission Valley in San Diego will have a renovation in year 2006. Until then, it is not worthy to pay more than $70 to stay there.”

“Hotel is what we expected, but the room wasn't very clean. There were candy wrappers, used paper, ect. under bed, so the room doesn't get a through cleaning when someone checks out. I was a little surprised that a Hilton was this dirty!”

• Staff very efficient--special requests handled on the spot.
• Location of handicap parking-closer would help.

“We were very happy with our stay. Food service was great-except the room was too dark for older folks to read the menu.”

• Did not like having to pay for slow internet access.

“Everything was excellent, except for the snail slowness of the internet service. I paid for access one night and ended up using 56k dial up, because 56K was faster than the internet service. The hotel did take it off my bill, but as a business consultant I need better quality internet, especially when you have to pay for it.”

• Nice clean room.
• Ten dollar parking charge.

“Room a bit smaller than anticipated, but otherwise very nice. The $10.00/day parking fee was out of the blue though.”

• A little dated inside.

“A new renovation of the restaurant will make a difference. The staff was great and we were very happy with the location, the rooms and the service.”

• Heated whirlpool outside, and shuttle to the mall.
• Operator was rude, didn't have the shuttle pick us up.

“The location was very convenient for our friends to pick us up. Very close to the airport, with a decent view of the city. Staff was very friendly and helpful aside from a single rude operator. Rooms were very clean. A personal shuttle takes you to local shopping areas. Heated pool and spa outside add to ambience.”

• It was clean and located right beside the malls in Mission Valley.
• The pool was not very exciting.

“Overall I think that it was comfortable. The Interstate 8 is right outside, so the hotel is not far from the freeway and it is located next to a shopping mall.”

• The lobby was beautiful.
• The bathroom lighting wasn't very good.

• The staff was very friendly.
• Ironing board was dirty

“Overall very good, but very disappointed they couldn't do a simple quality check on their ironing boards, come on, doesn't every business traveler iron something. Both the board cover and the iron were dirty. Other than this, this is good biz hotel.”

• Loved the bottled water and cookies in black box. Comfortable room, close to attractions and freeway.
• The room smelled like cigarette smoke and was unbearable. After complaining twice, it was freshened up and didn't smell anymore.

“Very friendly staff and fixed the smell issue in a timely manner. Very quiet place that is close to freeway. Loved the dining options within the hotel, good food.”

“Conveniently located near the fashion valley -mission valley malls... trolley, etc. The rooms are 4 stars plus. with refrigerator, nice bathroom, ironing board, hair dryer, nicely decorated, the staff really nice & helpful!”

• Good sized room, free internet access, and shuttle bus.
• No shuttle to or from airport or downtown.

• Very hard to find at night, AAA book directions stunk.

• The beds had down duvets and rooms were comfortable.
• I did not like the $10 fee for parking added the day of arrival. Double beds to small.

“The hotel is centrally located for easy access anywhere in San Diego. The staff was very friendly. Rooms were comfortable and well appointed. Double beds were too small if traveling with family. Should be at least queens since I'm a taller person. One of the better hotels in the immediate area.”

• There was no microwave in the room.

“It was a very nice hotel. The restaurant was pleasant. The beds were extremely comfortable and they were turned down for us. The only downside of our room was they didn't have a microwave. The parking was confusing, the signs said that hotel guests had to pay $10 for in & out access.”

• Location great and front desk staff helpful.
• Bed uncomfortable and no shower caps.

“Not memorable, but adequate and clean. Ordered 2 chicken Caesar salads room service, which was outrageously priced and took a very long time and got one salad and one wrap, which was inedible and had too much rosemary. Didn't call as it was too late and I was having a meeting. It was left in it's entirety outside our room.”

• Cleanliness and comfortable beds.
• Further away from cruise ship port than we thought. No shuttle to airport.
