“This was a wonderful hotel. Very beautiful scenery. We relaxed on the balcony overlooking the grounds and pool for a while. The room was okay. Not wonderful, not bad, just okay. Regular hotel room in terms of space. We had a couple problems, both lamps in the hotel would only work if you held them at the right angle for a second, loose wiring maybe? We were all ready to go out for the night and about to leave, when we found the door didn't lock, it took 20 minutes for the maintenance to come up and fix it, which is a long time to wait when your mind was set on getting out. But I don't think these are normal problems the hotel has. No hotel is perfect and I think we just happened to get the room the night it had problems. Overall, very beautiful hotel, outdoors, and I would stay again.”

“My 2 friends & I were in San Diego for a women's conference and were absolutely delighted with this hotel. It was just gorgeous. The room was adequate what we expected, but the roses, gazebos, pools, and atmosphere exceeded our expectations. We ate at Trellises on-site and had the whole patio to ourselves. The waiter was fantastic even making sure we left for the conference in time and took our pictures for us. The only downside was that we were not a check out late enough after the conference on Saturday.”

“Not worth the money. Better value elsewhere. There are so many nicer looking hotels for the same price around it.”

“The rooms are decent, but there's no way I'd call this a 3-star hotel. They charge $14 a night for parking and it seems like there's way more guests than parking spots as I had to park at the steakhouse and walk over.”

“This was unfair, I had to stay at a friends house on a pull out couch. I felt completely unsafe. The bed was probably 30 years old along with everything else in the room. Thanks.”

“The staff at the front desk and at reservations was almost impossible to work with. We had a problem and no one seemed to be able to resolve it. I spoke with four different people on the phone before finally someone could help fix the problem. I will not use this hotel in the future for business clients.”

“This hotel is not "resort" quality. The room decor was too frilly and outdated. Remote for TV didn't work and the replacement did not work properly either. The hotel also charges to use the fitness center.”

“I would utilize this for groups due to the variety of rooms and accesses. The landscape is nicely done. There are a variety of eateries on the hotel grounds and close to shopping and restaurants. Easy access to freeways on and off.”

“The Town and Country was a decent hotel. I felt that it was equally good for business as well as family travel. The room was large (larger than average) comfortable, with a better than average bathroom and storage. downside, bed was weird it was like a Murphy bed but you couldn't raise it, and the TV was very small maybe 20 -25 inches. The food at the hotel was good, and so was the service. I felt that for the star quality of the hotel and the price, wireless internet should have been included in the price as well as a complimentary shuttle to the airport. over all I gave it a 8 out of ten.”

“Rooms are very out of date with 80's decor. Beds are old and not as comfortable as other 3 star hotels such as Hilton or Sheraton. I stayed here twice and both rooms were in bad need of a remodel! I do not care to pay an additional $14 to park. This is more than competing hotels. Property is difficult to drive around with multiple exits. Had to go to the lobby to check out which was big inconvenience because I stayed on the other side of the property.”

“The outside decor was nice. We were suppose to have a king bed but received 2 fulls. Out TV did not work. This hotel was nice but not a 3 star more like a motel 6. Clean, nice, and OLD.”

“My room appeared to be older and could use some updating. Unfortunately, my room was the next floor down from a conference/reception room however it was not disturbing enough to change rooms.”

“Overall, it was not worth the price. It is supposedly a 3 star hotel, but it is really no better than a motel 6. There is a huge convention center there so it's probably better for that sort of thing. As far as a place to stay for a night or two, don't waste your money. It's the kind of place that charges you for absolutely everything. They charge you all those resort fees, $14 just to park there, and if you want to use the phone (even for local calls) or the internet, they charge you. The place is giant. It has 4 swimming pools, but only one hot tub. The hot tub was so far away that we didn't even bother to go because it would have been too cold to walk back after sitting in it. The room was small, nothing special about it. There was no fridge or microwave those things cost extra. So, overall, this place has fewer amenities than a motel 6 (except for having a convention center and place to hold big events) but is twice as expensive.”

“Nice location, but very dated in furnishings. The bathroom is small and if there is a convention the noise level outside the room can be disturbing. Parking is limited near the rooms and no elevators to second floor. However, it is clean and the location more than compensates.”

“Definitely not a 3 star hotel. Could be a good convention site after the construction noise ends, but not a great romantic getaway.”
