• The hotel location was ideal for walking to see show at Civic Theater.
• Requested twin room but only king room available at check in.

“Disappointed with this hotel for a weekend stay for family of four. Advertised as 4 star hotel in San Diego but the room we were given was small, the floor we stayed on did not have an ice machine (we were told the closest ice machine was on the floor below us) we requested a two bed room but were told they had only king rooms available at check in, told we could have a roll away bed sent up right away. Wanted two but only allowed one because of limited space in the room. Had to ask about the roll away bed again at midnight because it had not yet arrived (maybe someone at front desk forgot to set that up for us after we checked in). No room service available at this hotel. Pool area is very small. Overall hotel is very clean and well kept. Would not recommend this hotel for families, good for business travelers and singles.”

• Large room and bathroom, near attractions.

• Room quality and setup; easy check-in/check-out.
• Not an ice machine on every floor.

“Excellent room renovation, resulting in first class guest room package. Linens/bedding were excellent. Location reasonably convenient and within walking distance of Gaslamp Quarter.”

• The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable.
• The parking fee is ridiculous. We parked across the street in the parking garage for half the price

• Ambiance of room!
• Using the Tv remote was cumbersome.

“Fabulous restoration! Guest room was small but well designed for a business traveler. Deep soaking tub, flat screen TV, fabulous lines on the bed!”

• Remodeled room, excellant bed, very clean and better than I expected.
• Valet parking fee $30.

“Remodeled room, excellant bed, very clean and better than I expected. We even had a view of the Harbor. Great for business travelers with a nice open bar area and Starbucks in the lobby.”

• Their clean air policy (complete non-smoking hotel).
• Staff attitude about annoying, ugly sensor-based minibar in room.

“Clean, convenient, well-located, and offering a complete array of services and a great in-room workspace, it was exactly what I needed. I'd definitely use this hotel on my next San Diego trip.”

• The staff was friendly and very helpful. The bed was super comfy and the shower was great.
• Our room didn't have a refrigerator.

“Our room was awesome. We had a great view of the city and the ocean (totally unexpected!). There was a car accident one night and we got front row seats to all the action. I had a great experience, we loved the hotel and everyone was great and very helpful.”

• Westin consistently provides a high level of quality and service.
• There was little that we did not like.

“This is a perfect hotel for family travelers that want resort comfort and quality but perhaps don't have the resources to pay luxury rates. Westin provides a trusted and consistent high level of quality and service. All the personnel were friendly and professional. We enjoyed our stay and found it a great fit for our family getaway in San Diego. We were close enough to downtown to walk, but not in the heart of too much chaos, which works out well for having children. Downtown can get quite rowdy.”

• The overall feel of this property was cold and sterile.

• Excellent concierge services and free Granny Smith apples!
• Room key had to be reissued several times.

“This hotel catered to our needs in all ways. It is within walking distance of the embarcadero as well as Horton Plaza. Every request was met with a smile and a helpful manner. I would absolutely recommend a stay at the Westin San Diego for any travelers.”

• Pretty much everything was attractive and well kept.
• Parking a little inconvenient.

“The Westin is a great hotel. We had an excellent view of the city and the harbor. Staff was friendly and quick to help. Room very well kept and very attractive, although window could have been cleaned better. Very, very quiet. Having to cross a street to get from parking to hotel is a minor inconvenience, but I guess to be expected given the crowded conditions of downtown San Diego. Would definitely recommend.”
