• Great staff! Wonderful suites!
• My reservation only gave me 1 queen bed! I had to upgrade to a suite to get 2 beds!

“Great hotel but I was upset that my standard reservation did not give me a room with two beds. There were 3 of us in my group and I need two beds!!”

• Far from restaurants and point of interest.

“They booked me in the standard queen size bed only and the supervisor did not even care to upgrade me to a bigger room even if I told him that our two children are with us and they need another bed. He told me that I needed to get a suite and I have to pay the difference. I've been to many hotels and they always upgrade me for free and the sad thing is that, the hotel was not busy at all, and looks like they have available rooms to upgrade for free but no, he made me pay to upgrade.”

• The staff was extremely helpful
• No free Internet in the room.

“The hotel is beautiful & the staff is very friendly & helpful. It is a bit off the beaten path but most San Diego attractions are within a 20 minute drive. During my stay the exercise facility was being painted to was unavailable and that was a huge negative for me but not the end if the world. I also ad to buy air freshener because the room smelled funny but that may have been the cleaning products. We had a patio but there was no walkway to the pool deck. My kids cut through the garden to swim. Overall I love this hotel. It was one of 4 we stayed at during our visit to Southern California and was by far our favorite.”

• great staff, nice size suiites
• Spa was out of order, pool was small

“We upgraded our
room to two suites because we needed 4 beds, but on arrival they only arranged for 1 suite and an adjoining room only 3 beds. It was full so two of our members had to sleep on the floor. The staff went out of their way to make the error as comfortable as possible. The two rooms we got were great and glad they were together. We would stay there again.”

• While we did need to upgrade the room to a suite, was pleasantly surprised to find a dishwasher, refridgerator, garbage disposal in the room.
• Exercise equipment was dated and there were only a few machines. Sofa sleeper was a bit uncomfortable.

“Comfortable, clean, great amenities, nice location, friendly staff. I highly recommend this hotel for all types of travelers.”

• Quiet (we were there on a weekend) and it was spacious! Well appointed king, one bed room.
• Can't think of anything.

“Friendly staff, upscale hotel without being stuffy or cluttered. Great room, clean, very spacious, well appointed kitchen, great work desk and pull out desk, free internet and spacious bathroom. French doors to the bedroom, can use the living room for entertainment, work meeting, etc. Best room we ever stayed in for the price. Relaxing outdoor bar, restaurant area.”

“I was very happy. The hotel is close enough to the places I needed to go to but far from the action (downtown San Diego). But it's a good choice if you just want to relax for a weekend.”

• Great restaurant and bar experience - Tuesday - live entertainment!
• Nothing.

“Great place to stay - had all the comforts - outstanding room, great bar and restaurant. Evening cocktail specials including a wine flight night on Tuesdays as well as evening dinner specials including some of the best soups I've ever had.”

• Staff was great. Room had very qualities, such as, furniture and bathroom.
• My ice bucket was dirty, but they exchanged it promptly.

“Woodfin Suites in La Jolla is a very nice place to stay while visiting San Diego. Staff is very friendly and always helpful. The facility is clean and has a safe feeling. I would recommend the Woodfin Suites to family and friends.”

• I was pleased with the cleanliness of the hotel and room.
• I arrived later than the check-in time and tried to check-out later but was not able to.

“The hotel and room were great but my family and I weren't there long enough to enjoy everything they offered as we arrived later in the night to check-in. We did get to enjoy the pool facility and it was wonderful. We plan to go again and be there sooner to enjoy all it has to offer. It was a great place to stay!”
