“The hotel was fine for our purpose. Just in town to move our daughter in at SDSU so we were in the room very little. Location was close to the university, shopping, and restaurants.”

“The hotel actually motel would properly describe this place is extremely outdated, from the floors (dark dirty green carpeting), to the old wooden furniture, to the stained chairs, and the bedding. I stayed on the 1st floor in which I think was a big security issue considering the windows were left open when we checked in, we had random people knocking on our doors in the morning and at night. Menu's were slipped through our door randomly. Then the noise, it was close to unbearable, the walls are paper thing and you could hear your neighbor go in and out in and out in and out of their room constantly. There is absolutely no parking at night either. This is a real honest review. The only bonus about this place is the location is literally 10 miles from everything (beach, zoo, Gaslamp).”

“I love this hotel. The rooms are large and clean. The staff treats you like royalty. I stay here whenever I come to San Diego. This place is a steal for the price!”

“This hotel made our stay in San Diego affordable. The location was five minutes from Old Town and the beach. Staff was friendly and room was clean. Plan on taking family back for another stay.”

“They need to change TV's and I want ethernet jack installed in every room. The WiFi didn't work on my laptop for that hotel.”

“The hotel was fine. The location was great easy access to freeways and room was clean and staff was friendly. If your looking for a decent stay and don't care that the decor is outdated and its very dark in the room and price, and being comfortable is what your looking for, this hotel is for you. Great for college students on a budget.”

“Nice place to sleep, even next to a freeway. Clean, and the staff was courteous. Pool was cold, but hey it was late December.”

“The bathroom pipes began to make noise at 3am which woke me up. I had made sure I changed rooms. The staff did not agree but eventually moved me to a different room. Unfortunately, the room was right next to the freeway which was no better than the pipes. Also, I went to SD on a volleyball tournament, it would have been nice if the Jacuzzi and pool was working.”

“The economy places I have stayed in in the past have had basics like a coffee machine and micro wave. It was sub-standard.”

“Sometimes you just know you are at the right place when you get there. The front desk service was amazing, they let me check in early and they give me several choices for room, I stay by the pool which was nice and clean and big, my kid love the pool and my husband love the hot tub, no trills, nothing out of the ordinary but clean and perfect for family of 3, the bathroom was clean the cleaning lady was really hard a work, the have free Wi-Fi and it works great, I was able to work form the pool every day. The Waffle spot was great for breakfast, my kid love the Banana nut waffles, and my husband enjoy the large TVs at the amigo spot at happy hour, they have a Mexican mariachi playing Friday night.”

“The hotel is very conveniently located off the major freeways and is close to all the major attractions. Old Town, Sea World and the beaches are all less than a ten minute drive. The rooms are great for the price, the staff is friendly and helpful and the waffles are delicious. If you just need a nice place to stay while visiting San Diego this hotel is a great deal. I had a good experience and would definitely recommend it.”

“Rooms were average on cleanliness -- not bad but not a wonderful experience. Check in person was not impressive, but we did accidentally leave something in the room and the cleaning lady made an effort to get it to us before we left. No elevator makes the second floor hard with small children.”

“Our room was little small but clean and comfortable. The inviting pool's location was convenient and the Jacuzzi was great for tired feet from visiting a convention. The staff was very friendly. Although there was no coffeemaker in the room, there was free coffee in the lobby which was nice. The Mexican restaurant onsite had excellent food and great live flamenco guitar music on Saturday night. A refrigerator was an extra cost and a little too small for our needs. The wireless internet available in the motel lobby would have cost extra also even using my own laptop. In general, I was very pleased with the accommodations as I have stayed in a few different motels at the Hotel Circle which is very convenient for commuting to downtown San Diego via trolley. It was a great value for my dollar comparative to other nearby motel rates.”
