• We were in a room with a handicap shower so water went everywhere.

“We went on a short trip to San Diego. This hotel in Old Town was chalk full of historic California ambience. Spanish satillo tiles and fountains galore. The grounds were beautiful and it was fun to roam through the tiered levels. It was so close to dining and activities that we walked everywhere. Great food was only steps away and it felt very safe to walk around-even at midnight.”

• Architecture & grounds were beautiful.
• The room was not a suite - yet advertised as such.

“I was never so dissatisfied with a hotel in years. I reserved and expected a suite so I would be able to have a separate space to work while my daughter relaxed. A half wall does not make a suite - hotel said all rooms were suites. My daughter left after the first night to stay elsewhere. I was extremely disappointed in these facilities. Also when making the reservation, I was unaware of having to pay for parking (daily charge) or the "resort" fee added to my bill.”

• Right in the heart of old town. Extremely easy access to surrounding attractions.
• $12/day additional cost to park not reflected in price.

“The hacienda is a gorgeous complex, right in heart of old town san Diego. It is extremely easy to get to from the freeway, and is about 2 minutes from the trolley which can get you almost anywhere downtown. We did not need to use our car for our entire stay. The rooms are nice, the view is good, and the food was outstanding. We ordered the sampler platter for $9.99 and it filled us both up. I'd highly recommend staying at the hacienda best western if you want to be near old town / downtown san Diego. Buy an all-day trolley pass, and enjoy not driving during your stay.”

• Very neat design and location. Looks like an Old Mexican Ranch in the middle of Old Town.
• Very crappy and dangerous crib.
