• Larger rooms than some Courtyards we have stayed in.
• Nothing.

“One of the more recent additions to the Courtyard chain of hotels. Larger public areas including gas fires in the Courtyard area. Great location for the San Diego Tech center. A few restaurants close buy. Fairly good access to Downtown San Diego via I805/I5.”

• The water main was broken upon my arrival and arrangements had already been made at a sister hotel.
• The sister hotel was a little more difficult to find and further away from my morning accounts.

“Upon arrival I was told I would be moved to a sister hotel due to a water main break. It took about 15 minutes to make the arrangements. After driving around for a while at night trying to find the hotel, I was greeted by a polite but slightly stressed desk clerk. I got to my room about a little more than an hour later than expected and very tired.”

• The room was beautiful and the bed was so comfy.
• No room service.

“Overall, a very clean and nicely decorated room. The mattress was so comfortable we wanted to take it home. We were about 15 minutes from Sea world and only 10 minutes form our favorite beach spot. The staff was very friendly and we felt very safe. Wireless access!”

• Nice breakfast set up but for a fee. Ok. Lobby!
• Rude and uninterested staff! Trolley had flat tire! Moved us to 3d floor to avoid noisy guests!

“During breakfast hours, my children (7 and 9 years old from Sweden) took 2 small bags of frosty flakes not knowing that breakfast had a charge. The manager ran after them as if they had stolen the cash register and demanded payment or return of goods. I have never seen such a rude behavior. Never will we stay in this hotel again! The containers with complimentary coffee and tee water were most of the time empty! Staff was totally uninterested in anything like customer service. I asked if we could check out at 12,15 pm i.e. Only 15 minutes after the official check out time and the clerk behind the desk to my big surprise gave us a hard time talking about "new guests" may be checking in! Again, this for 15 minutes and the room was not cleaned! This was at 11.30 on march 26 if they want to talk to her! The previous day the room was not cleaned until 5 pm! This hotel has some serious problem with their staff and management. For sure! Seriously, Ramada in offers better customer service!”

• Free Internet.
• Very noisy neighbors who partied or argues until 3 am on one of the nights.

“Pleasant location next to a mini shopping center with a Staples, Bank of America, Jamba Juice and other things. This is not visible from the hotel which is nice. Also in the center was a food court with different ethic selections. Very convenient place to eat. The free Internet was a nice plus. The walls seem to be quite thin.”

• I liked the fact that the room was updated, had a couch and desk for working and the manager helped when the internet connection had issues.
• I think it should have wireless internet access and should include a small breakfast in the morning. Paying $9 for some cereal and coffee is too much.

• A staff member Maria, extremely professional, courteous and sweet as well
• No sound proofing under door (1"+ gap) from hallway noises - horrible noise through put in middle of night

“Everything about this hotel was excellent with the exception of hearing every sound in the hallway in the middle of the night.The door had about a 1" or more gap between floor and door. All sounds in the hallway reverberated into the room, thus destroying a night's sleep. A wedding party had stayed up late and was talking in the hallways. Came right through to the room.Other than that it was fine.”

• free internet, great breakfast, great mattresses!
• seemed short staffed on desk in morning. Pool was closed.

“Much better than I ever expected. Loved all but the pool was closed and it was soooo hot. Spa was wonderful so I know the pool would have been great! I was really looking forward to the pool . It opened right after we checked out. Very pleased with all.”

• The room was very nice and the staff was friendly and professional
• The location was not practical for the local attractions

“The hotel is located by office buildings, there are many restuarants to choose from. The staff was very professional, but the hotel was a little loud, you could here the other guest pretty easily. Overall the room was nice and the area seemed safe and pleasant.”

• Excellent quality for a reasonable price
• Jacuzzi room needs to be cleaned regularly, breakfast is not included

“Very good hotel conveniently located in the proximity of La Jolla and UC San Diego. Friendly staff, clean rooms, pool and jacuzzi. Recommend to stay at.”
