• Pool wasn't heated and their was no spa.

“I enjoyed my stay and will be returning. There's really isn't anything I can complain about. All and All was quite, smile friendly and most helpful in every way.”

• Clean close to major attractions safe great service.
• Noise from guests nearby.

“I was so pleasantly surprised. This hotel was great! Every employee that we encountered demonstrated excellent customer service. Hotel was clean and up to date. It was centrally located to many major attractions. We greatly appreciated both the refrig and microwave as well as the breakfast.”

• Convenient to all the tourist places we visited.
• Although conveniently located, it is among strip clubs and adult entertainment also.

• I liked that there was a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker plus free WiFi. Very friendly staff.
  

“Great value and good location near Sea World and plenty of restaurants. I was grateful they do not charge for parking like many hotels do now. Spacious room, plenty of towels, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, and ironing board. Thanks for two great nights!”

• Pleasantly surprised.
• Didn't care to be so close to a strip joint.

“Considering I was blind when I was given this hotel, I was very to see how much work in upgrades had been done. The building is old, but it looks great. Beds were great, loved the layout and modern look. Thank you for a good night sleep.”

• Interior of rooms better than it looks like from the outside.
• Not located in the best neighborhood.

“The neighborhood makes you double check that you locked the doors. Continental breakfast not worth eating.”

• Recently renovated rooms look great.
• Individual exterior doors - no lobby access to rooms.

“For the money it was a good value. The room was in good shape and had recently been renovated. While the airport-near location is not scenic, it is convenient to travel almost anywhere in SD County.”

• Location and friendliness of staff.
• Dirty pool, broken fridge, temps in room, bad info traveling to Lego Land.

“Staff very friendly, but had bad info on travel to Lego Land. It was a 30 min. drive, but told I could take a bus and trolley. It's really 3-4 rides, with proper trolley and final bus not running on Sundays. Almost 8 hours round-trip and over $100 in charges, with only 3 hours to spend at Lego Land which cost over $100 as well. The fridge was broken and the thermostat was a bit hard to operate. The pool was dirty, lounge chairs dirty and broken. Continental breakfast was fairly good, but tables were all taken, out of stock on creamer and a bit dirty. Room was nice and clean.”

• How nice all the employees were. Housekeeping was awesome.
• Cont. breakfast ended at 9 a.m. 10 a.m. would have been better.

• When it was time to leave.
• The pool was dirty, maid didn't come until after 4pm, construction.

“While staying at this hotel they were renovating it. The pool was dirty, the maid took forever to come clean our room, twice she didn't even come. It smelled very musty, there is no elevator to the second floor. But it is close to Sea World and the Beaches, and walking distance to old town.”

• Pool was an oversize bathtub.

“This was a decent value for a larger center. The overall appearance was neat but it could use some TLC. Needed some more lighting as the rooms were outside access.”

• I liked the courtesy of the staff, excellent free airport shuttle service - on time & courteous, excellent continental breakfast service.
• No elevators.

“This hotel is the star rating described, great for just stopping in for overnight stay, great for shuttle to airport in from 6am to 8pm. Great continental breakfast, especially for families.”

• Bad neighborhood and less than friendly staff.

“We were given a handicapped equipped room. When using the shower, the entire bathroom floor flooded. The mini fridge in the room did not work. However, we were visiting our son in the hospital and required a second night stay. There is no pool and all rooms face a poorly maintained parking lot.”

• Nothing, we couldnt sleep the surroundings were very noisy, the location had emergency sirens all the time, the front desk never answered the phones.
• Old motel room, not very clean, this was a huge disappointment.

“Our kids and us were awakened both nights but pounding and kids screaming. Our next door neighbors, we could actually have a conversation with them through the wall. I did not feel safe here either. There were homeless people everywhere and one even joined us at the complimentary breakfast!! The room was old and not decorated. There were obvious stains on the floor. The first deskman was very nice and informative but later that night when we needed them they never answered their phone and when I used my cell to call up they placed me on hold for 20 minutes. The breakfast was ok, you need to get there at the right time or you wait forever for the waffle machine. The lady in charge of refilling was not so nice and she would not refill anything unless it was totally out.”
