“This hotel had a leak in the bathroom sink, so the carpet in the bathroom area was soaked. The balcony view was horrible. The breakfast was basically cereal. I will not stay there again.”

“This hotel was a little expensive for a two star hotel. But the staff was friendly. When I had trouble flushing the toilet, they came right away and fixed it. The room was clean and my kids enjoyed it. They were a little disappointed with the balcony and us not being on a higher floor. Parking was free, they had underground parking and upper level parking.”

“I would definitely stay again at this hotel if I went to San Diego for business or pleasure. I would book directly with the hotel rather than Price Line. I ended up paying the price via Priceline as the hotel rate.”

“It's a good, economy($70/nite) place to stay. Like the refrigerator, microwave in room and the breakfast.”

“Lobby renovation was nice, the elevator that was operating was beautiful, room was simple and bed was terrific . Hotel should update/redo the breakfast room which is a terrible place to start the day. Looks like it got forgotten in the renovation.”

“I stayed at this hotel only because it was close to a concert we were attending. the lobby was full of unused furniture from hotel (i.e. mattresses, chairs, etc.) it was not attractive. There was random noises coming from the walls like when the air would come on every 20 or so mines it sounded like something was thrown against the wall. the breakfast should provide more choices and some of the lights didn't work in our room. I would not stay here again.”

“The staff were friendly and I enjoyed my stay. The price was fair and the location was very convenient. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who had to stay within a budget. It was a good value. I was about 20 minutes away from my business meetings and the hotel was a good value. I would stay there again. It was not posh but it was a good value.”

“While the staff was excellent, our air conditioner was broken. Room was tired and worn. Bath ceiling had cracks and mildew. Would not recommend this to anyone. And I am generally easy to please and not a complainer by nature!”

“This hotel is in a good location but not convenient for getting bags in and out as where you park and where you enter the lobby there are steps to climb. They were working on the lights at 6am the first morning so only had the bathroom light working.”

“Poor! The staff member told me construction would be concluded by "mid-May," which was not true. Construction was still in full swing upon arrival. When checking in, I asked the front desk clerk if parking was free, she said, "unfortunately yes." She really appeared to be sad it was free. There was only one working elevator and one of the emergency exits on our floor was closed do to the construction. Fire hazard? The room I requested was supposed to be "Non-smoking." First thing my girlfriend and I noticed is that it smelled like cigarrete smoke, which did not go away during our stay. Now the shower. The shower head was the extendable detachable type, which would have been fine if they would have installed it properly. Who ever installed it failed to add the shower head resting part where you can hook the shower and use it normally. The shower head just dangled. When I called to have repaired or replaced, the same front desk clerk from earlier told me it was "normal." After I corrected her and she figured that it was not normal she told me "there's nothing we can do. We can't move you to another room because we're full. If you want, you can speak to our manager tomorrow." I had to use two pieces of a plastic bag to tie the shower head to the shower rod, which didn't work well. What topped off our stay was the air vents. Every ten minutes, yes, I said every ten minutes, there would be a loud "bang" coming from the vent. What was causing it? I don't know, but it kept us from sleeping well. Since we had no time to look for another hotel, on our one night stay, we had no choice but to stay at this horrible hotel. We will never stay at Best Western again!”

“The location was perfect, the season for my trip was to support my daughter, she ran the Rock'N Roll Marathon (26.2) it was close to her hotel, close to the Expo and close to the finish line. The view from my room was breath taking, the continental breakfast was just right for me and the staff was very helpful on providing information. I would definitely stay in this hotel on my next trip.”

“We were shocked to see that this hotel was even open. The building is covered with construction materials and debris. The lobby was a joke as you had to climb stairs in the back to a 3-4 foot desk and everything was closed off with plywood and sheet rock. The rooms were very small, dusty, windows were filthy. We couldn't use the air conditioning as the smell blowing in to the room was so bad that it effected our breathing. I couldn't wait to get out of the place.”

“I knew that this Best Western was under renovations, however I did not realize all aspects of the hotel would be affected. Entry was through underground back entry stairs, not user friendly for luggage. Checking/out desk was makeshift back hallway like room & one guest service rep was on phone (sounded like personal call) & on computer so we spent 5min waiting to be checked in. Room had this musty like smell that once the air was turned up went away. Room had worn drapes but bed & bathroom were clean; had to call for towels & pillow. Refrigerator was off, when turned on it made this loud noise so we just unplugged it. Continental breakfast was in a small dark room, but they did have good coffee. The view was a dumpster, & workers started working early which was noisy. That I expected when I booked room but I really feel this hotel was more of motel quality & should not be open till a bit more renovations are completed.”

“The lobby was closed, the check-in was in the hallway, and there was no wall paper, just bare walls. Plywood exterior doors, plastic sheets over the windows, drywall dust. This hotel should have been closed or condemned. Absolutely the worst hotel I have stayed in.”
