• Everything was fresh, clean, comfortable and seemed brand new.
• $16.00 seemed a little pricey for parking.

“Easily accessible, about 20 minutes driving time from San Diego, it is a well designed and very attractive hotel. Our room was quiet. Plush upgraded bedding, pillows and bed as well as quality fixtures and linens in bath made our visit very comfortable. Staff was courteous. Excellent place to stay near beach cities.”

“This hotel is newer, clean and comfortable. Its location is excellent, and its decor is beautiful. The pool area is especially attractive.”

• Very nice upscale hotel.
• Housekeeping knocked at 9:30 a.m. I was just out of bed.

“I loved the hotel. It was easy access to/from the interstate and was located conveniently between the San Diego airport and my destination.”

• Very clean, great staff, easy access to freeway.
• High cost for parking, no local transportation.

“My wife and I stayed at this hotel while visiting our son at UCSD and found it very comfortable. It seems to be more a business center than a romantic one, very quiet over the weekend. We would be happy to stay here again. The only strike against would be the $18.00 per night parking charge.”

• Pool and Jacuzzi closed too early and expensive parking.

“Nice, friendly place to hang out for the day. Quick check in and out. Vary comfortable beds with down pillows and comforters! Great atmosphere.”

• Very friendly and clean.
• The bed was in need of a new mattress. It slanted towards the headboard.

“I would stay again, but if the bed was as bad as it was I would request a different room.”

• The room was attractive, classy, & bed was super comfortable, hotel was very classy.
• No complaints.

“Loved the treatment from the staff , including giving water for trips when we left for short excursions. Front desk was very friendly, especially person from Maryland. All staff we saw was courteous & friendly. We will definitely be going to a Marriott again.”

• Very quiet, no traffic noise. Clean and attractive hotel.
• Pool area access was limited due to a private party.

“This hotel is near several major office complexes and therefore, caters to the business traveler. However, I was at the hotel for pleasure and with a small child. We did not use the pool area due to a private party being held there. We did enjoy the room which was very comfortable. We went to Lego land the next day which is about 20 minutes north of the hotel.”

• The fire pits were a very nice touch.

“Our overall experience was excellent. Rooms well-appointed, facilities were great. We had to pay for parking, which should have been unnecessary, given the area we were in. There was ample parking there without having to pay.”

• Attractive décor.
• Loud party at pool area all day.

“We were asked to leave the pool area for a "private party." The manager was very nice and said that we could stay all day at the pool if we care to. There were several hundred people at this party that was posted to be ending at 7:00 p.m. At 8:00 the DJ was still screaming! (For about x100 that day). Not very family friendly and not romantic.”

• Nice hotel in a nice location.
• The sheets smelled like they were washed in dirty water.

“Our stay would have been fine if it wasn't for the water being turned off one night and not turned on in time for us to take a shower one night! The hotel staff stated they would give us a credit and when it was check out time they said they couldn't do it! Not a good experience.”

• Staff was helpful, hot tub and pool were great.
• The clothes dryer did not dry well, need another computer with internet access.

“Of the three hotels I stayed at during this vacation, the Marriott San Diego Del Mar was the best-even better than the Hilton at Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco. Very welcoming, pleasant and clean. The location is great and the staff were very helpful.”
