• Cold water in shower, pool/spa closed for a private event, $18 for parking in low-demand area.

• Beautiful grounds, comfortable, easy to get around, very pleasant accommodations. Heated pools were a treat.
• Did not have in-room coffee maker.

“Enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt Mission Bay. Even with 9 year old twins, this was the most leisurely vacation ever. Kids loved the heated pools and the waterslides. We enjoyed the cabanas and outdoor lounging by the fire pit in the evening. Lovely place and convenient for jogging to the beach.”

• The hotel was beautiful. The grounds were gorgeous.
• We could hear the tenants next door as if in our room. We had to call twice to front desk to get them to quiet down 1:30 am.

“Overall this was a fantastic place to relax. The room was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. We would definitely stay again at this fabulous hotel.”

• Fantastic heated pools with slides for all ages and swimming levels.
• Parking lot was small, finding a spot was not easy.

“Hotel was fantastic with great pools, excellent staff, and extremely clean rooms. If you are a gramophone like myself, you will be at ease in these rooms, they were spotless!”

• It was a very nice hotel!
• I hate that you had to pay for parking. Hotel parking should be free.

“We were upgraded to a "suite" for our one night stay. Our suite was on the 2nd floor (in a 3-story building) and had a balcony that overlooked the marina and the boats docked there. Beautiful view to awake to. Very quiet room. Pretty grounds.”

• I was completely amazed with the modern-trendy room type, balcony, and pool resort area.
• $18-20 parking rate was very expensive per night.

“It is the best hotel I have stayed at. The room was like walking into a IKEA model, I absolutely loved the decor/colors, and the space of the room. We spend so much time just sitting out on the balcony. I would recommend staying in the Towers location which has views of the poolside and marina. I wish I could bring the room home with me!”

• Loved the pool/bar area. Concierge had directions printed from hotel to anywhere.
• Paying for parking.

“We had a great time here. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant and bar was fresh and delicious. The renovations are beautiful. The bed was very very comfortable, like a cloud.”

• Hotel is ultra-modern so sleek for business but sterile for romance
• There are no vending machines on the property.

“This hotel has been completely renovated and offers sleek ultra-modern amenities. The Spa is awesome and all-natural. The bartenders serves up great blueberry & pineapple mojitos. Close enough to beaches but is a several mile drive to get to the nearest convenience store so if you're looking for a late-night snack you're out of luck unless you're willing to drive.”

• The rooms and the pool area was attractively designed.
• They charged you extra for parking.

“You could tell that the hotel was recently remodeled with new modern decor and bed linens. We were upgraded to a suite for free when we arrived and the suites were very spacious (almost too much space for just the two of us). The staff was friendly and the pool area was beautiful and designed with a modern loungy feel. There was an area for the kids complete with waterslides. The only draw backs were that they charged you extra for parking and unless you called it a night at 5 pm you ended up having to park a little bit far away. Also the tub was not good for soaking the water was too shallow and the lighting in the rooms and bathroom was dim which kind of lessened the appeal of the room. The hotel is located within walking distance of mission bay so you are not really near the beach but it's very scenic and our room had a nice view of the marina. The gym had a view of the marina and was nicely stocked with lemon water and towels.”

• The lobby.
• The hotel room was drab. Spots on the floor. It was not a good room. Very loud out side of room. We were not satisfied with the room. Lobby was nice.

• Great views from tower rooms.
• There are two non-tower buildings with rooms - feels like a 2-star hotel in these rooms.

“Great location and well-suited for families or couples. Tower rooms have great views and are 4-star, however there are two-story buildings with parking lot views that are two-star quality at best.”

• Front desk people were not very friendly on two separate occasions. Third time we were ignored completely.

“The hotel was out of Lego land tickets. They had one towel hook in the bathroom? Not too smart with an extravagant 3 pool oasis. The carpet was soiled with dark spots throughout.”

“Had a great stay. Had a problem with room on arrival. Night Clerk on duty was very helpful in solving the problem, and gave us a free breakfast, and room upgrade. Would stay there again.”

• Great location for downtown, sea world and the Zoo.
• Not enough room around the pools a bit cramped not enough seating.

“Formerly known as the Islander Hotel, was built in 1961 and renovated in 2007. New pool area, water slides, pool-side lounge and tropical plantings offer a resort level experience. Our quiet "bungalow" style room was only steps away from the pool and free parking. Most rooms seemed to be equipped with 32" flat panel TV's we had a 27" tube and no coffee maker. But the in-room refrigerator was a nice touch.”

• Beautifully decorated. Liked the gazebos outside.
• Staff is not very helpful before your stay.

“Took the concierge 3 weeks to email me something I requested. The staff at the spa were more helpful. The glass on the balcony was all spotted and not kept up the way I would think a top notch hotel would.”
