  • I liked the view of Mission Bay and the tropical landscape.
  • First room toilet didn't flush, bed was terrible.

“This Hotel needs to upgrade the older rooms and put in new beds. The tower on the north side is excellent our bed was comfortable and our toilet flushed. However the trash had not been dumped and there were lots of cigarettes butts in the can. We asked for a non smoking room. Don't order onion rings from the restaurant they are horrible. The breakfast are very good and dinners. Pool and Jacuzzi are great. The jungle walk is also fun. I love this hotel it just needs a little tlc.”

  • Very nice sized condo style unit.2 bra, 2 TVs, kitchen&
  • Musty until we opened the slider; then it was fine.

“These will most likely be condos one day. Huge square footage, spacious, nice kitchen. Nice bar in hotel, kind of Spanish style decorations&”

  • Perfect location and atmosphere!
  • Not enough parking close to rooms.

“I loved this hotel because of the Moroccan feel and the excellent location to beaches, sea world, and not far from downtown san Diego. I would love to stay here again!”

  • Proximity of parking to my room.
  • Shabby, dated, worn decor and in-room amenities.

“This hotel is desperately in need of a remodel.”

  • Room is big and has nice view.
  • Building and carpet look old and worn out.

“Overall it was a wonderful experience being right next to the bay and having a private balcony with a good view. Sea World is only about 5 minutes away which was great.”

  • The location to city attractions.

“I would recommend the hotel vie stayed there before just as good five years later but I was disappointed that I was quoted a certain rate per night and charged a higher rate by the hotel how can that happen.”

  • The Jacuzzi was big and the view was awesome.
  • I found blood spots on my sheets in the morning. The blood wasn't mine.

“The blood spots on my sheets were unsettling to say the least. I didn't ask for new sheets because I was checking out. The view was wonderful. We enjoyed the Jacuzzi. I would stay there again because the blood spots were probably an isolated incident. I am hoping that the sheets were washed and the stain just didn't come out.”

Cleanliness:[4] • Staff:[3] • Location:[7]

  • The close location to sea world and nearby San Diego zoo.
  • The paper thin walls that let you hear anything above or next to you.

“Upon arrival the grounds are lush and green. The restaurant food was adequate however a little pricey. The white sand beaches as shown on the web pictures where however, gray and the sand/shoreline smelled foul. Our ground level (so called suite) had open rusted cold water faucet cover, the shower head was about 5 feet high so you had to duck or bend to rinse off. There was paint on the bathroom ceiling that was peeling off. The provided blow dryer was missing the whole front cover where the air blew out and in the bathroom sink area there were 2 long rusty nails sticking out at least an inch from the baseboard. The insulation was severely lacking as you could clearly hear the gentleman upstairs from us urinating as if he was using our toilet. We could also clearly hear the complete word for word conversation of the people next to our room. There were missing light bulbs; the small fridge had massive build up of ice in the freezer. The maid service was lacking as they would provide us with different items on each day we were there making us think if we were suppose to of had that item from the beginning of our stay. Things were sometimes replaced after our use and sometimes not. Overall, for the price of this room it would have been nice for a complementary continental breakfast each morning would have been nice. The hotel lacks a lot in the little things and detail. I feel that this should be rated as an upgraded motel 6 that is located on the beach. I would not stay there again.”

  • The location was fantastic.
  • The hotel bar was too expensive and choices were not too good.

“Over all I enjoyed the stay. I would stay there again. The staff was very nice and the hotel was clean and comfortable.”
