• Awful.

“Upon arrival I went tom room and it was not clean - someone was apparently still using it. They changed my room. Got back to the room Sunday at 9pm and my room had not been serviced. I called and was told that they could either move me to sleep in another room or I could come down and get towels. (It was raining and the front desk is at another building) they were too short staffed to bring me the towels. This hotel should be removed from your list or move to a level zero star rating. This was just a ridiculous place to stay.”

• The water pressure from the shower head; and the free wireless internet access.
• Dirty, unmatched furniture, ghetto looking.

“It's in a bad and unattractive area - wish I could have known. Our smoke detector was missing. The TV speakers were blown out. The bed didn't really look made, but at least the sheets were clean. Motel 6 is cleaner, and might have cost the same. I'm extremely disappointed in my first stay at a Howard Johnson.”

“The hotel was literally on the wrong side of the tracks. The second floor walkways were soft and spongy as if you could fall through the walkway and the outside as well as the inside was horrible, nothing like the photos.”

• Staff was friendly.
• Dirty, noisy, smelled of smoke (although nonsmoking room); uncomfortable bed.

“I do not recommend it! We usually request a minimum of 3 stars, but that was not available in Victorville. We went with two stars, and I do not think this motel deserves even 1 star. We were very disappointed.”

• Easy to locate.
• It was an attempt to dress up a lame iconology.

“The online hype did not match reality. Wall paper peeling from the walls. Fascia coming off the building. It was bordering on ghetto. I would not stay there again.”

• The rooms are very large.
• The separation of the lobby from the rest of the hotel.

“Very nice big rooms. Lobby was up the hill from the rest of the hotel. This seems dangerous to a single woman.”

• Shower worked!
• Heat didn't work!

“I would to stay in this hotel again. Lack of heat--it started but never blew warm air, security hasp was broken off, my hotel key had been changed when I arrived back at the hotel the first night at 12:00 am. Desk person asked "are you staying over?"--I had paid for a two day stay. The entire experience leads me to reconsider the use for accommodations anywhere but in the large market cities.”

• The only good thing I can say about this hotel is that they did refund my daughter's reservation but not mine.
• carpet dirty, holes in the wall, entire room dirty and musty smelling.

“This was not a 2 star hotel in any stretch of the imagination. The location is poor, the rooms are dirty and musty smelling. ”

• Price and location were an issue this trip.. this met that, not a vacation stop.
• The bed was awful, rolled into each other the middle all night, like sleeping on a slope.

“This is a normal, lets just stop for the night kind of hotel.. nothing special, low price and right off the freeway.. it was for the most part clean, needs a remodel however.. stayed at a Howard john sons in Oregon the week before,, was much nicer. didn't sleep well at all due to bed, it was a room, for a low price.”

• The drug dealers.

• It was old and not very clean. The staff charged an extra fee for two queens instead of one king.

• It was very easy to get to from our main destination.
• No dislikes, the mattress was a little too firm for me.

“This is for all hotels: Since smoke rises, why not put the smokers on the top level or in one building only? Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.”
