• The location was excellent for the beach, track, food.
• Noisy courtyard!

“The hotel is attractive, clean and well managed. It does not have a restaurant except for breakfast which was not very good. Overall, I liked it and the location was excellent. One other plus is on site parking which was complimentary.”

• The staff was friendly and made you feel at home.
• No pets allowed. Also dirty laundry found in closet.

“All in all the hotel was close to were we wanted to hangout. It is close to the beach, good restaurants, the Delmar Race Track, and good shopping.”

• The room was spacious and had a flat screen TV plus sofa.
• The bathroom lights/fans were very noisy.

“The gentleman who checked us in was great; he upgraded us from a room with two queens to one with one king-size bed. The room was extremely large and had a flat screen TV, a sofa and a little kichenette area. In addition, the spa and pool area were great; we used the spa twice during our stay. I would definitely stay there again.”

• It was very clean. The employees were very friendly and helpful.
• The internet connection was troublesome and would keep disconnecting.

“We loved the hotel. One of the front desk employees gave us a complimentary breakfast coupon because it was our anniversary. That was very sweet of the young lady. Your cookies in the lobby were very tasty. The experience for our 2nd anniversary was all I was hoping for.”

• Great location, close to beach and San Diego.
• Parking was tight but free.

“The beach is right around the corner, within walking distance if you want. There are plenty of restaurants close by. The kids loved swimming in the pool, very family friendly hotel. The room had a small fridge to store some of our snacks. It is also close by the del Mar horse racing track. We didn't know this before arriving. The race track is a huge attraction for many and if you come on a race day, good luck getting to and from hotel quickly but this was a minor thing to us because we were at sea world all day. I would definitely recommend this hotel!”

“Comfortable room, great location, and a friendly staff made my stay a wonderful experience. Right next to the beach and around the corner from the Del Mar Horse Track and County Fairgrounds. I would definitely stay here again.”

• Refrigerator & microwave in room, bathroom set-up.
• Nothing.

“Very clean, nice staff. The restaurant on the premises was not ready to open at the designated time either day--service was a little slow. Would definitely stay there again and just sleep in instead of trying to beat crowd at opening time!”

• It was 1 block to the ocean.
• It smelled, was not clean, and they had the fact you had to pay for a breakfast most hotels include. No menu.

“The location and hotel front were as expected. The garage was dirty and felt unsafe. There were signs posted stating they were not responsible for theft, which made you feel as if it was a crime area. There was one elevator. Elevator went to all floors from garage. Key was not required. Leaving elevators, old, low recessed ceilings and musty old carpet had an odor. Walls were in need of paint. You felt as if you were in a 1 star from that point. We found and entered our room, which was large, but clean. The bed was comfortable. The TV, small and old. The bathroom area was cramped. You could hear people in the other rooms. I was disappointed because I expected more. I've stayed in Holiday Inns, Comfort Inns that were all much nicer than this.”

• The rooms were very comfortable and clean. I am very pleased with the bathrooms and the water pressure from the shower.
• There wasn't really anything I disliked about this hotel.

“This hotel was far better than any other hotel we have stayed at in San Diego. The hotel was very easy to get to and from and we could have not asked for anything better. The showers were excellent and the size of the room was really great. We have a 3 years old daughter and we felt that we were not cramped in the hotel and the beds were comfortable. We are going to stay here every time we go to San Diego.”

• The hotel was clean and the staff was okay.
• It was too pricey for the quality of the hotel. No restaurant made it difficult to eat quickly.

“This is a nice clean hotel for the business traveler, but is not family oriented. The staff is nice but not overly friendly. If you need a restaurant for convenience, this would not be the place to go. Getting in the parking garage was difficult because we were not supplied with the security code in advance, causing cars to back up.”

• I was very happy with the room. It was like being at home with my own little patio.
• Only that there was one entry and exit to the building.

“I didn't know what to expect when I made my offer. For the price I paid, I could not ask for anything more. It was perfect for our weekend getaway on a budget.”

• How close it was to my destination and the beach.
• They didn't have towels by the pool.

“Hotel was much better than I expected. Great staff, safe underground parking that is locked up at night, and a nice breakfast buffet for great price! The rooms were clean and the balcony was refreshing, the bathrooms small, but effective and still comfortable. The only thing I wish they had that I've seen in other hotels is towels by the pool and a bin to grab new ones and toss your old ones. That would have been the cherry on top of the sundae.”

• The outdoor patio on the room was beautiful.

“They had a wonderful bus that took you about anywhere you wanted to go. It was so very close to the beach. It was so beautiful. We arrived at the hotel at around 1100 am and we could not believe that the staff would allow us into the room, but they did and they were so fantastic. I could not believe we got such a wonderful place for such a wonderful price.”

“This was a very nice hotel with comfortable beds and pillows. The bathrooms and shower were very nice and clean, with comfortable shower spray. The cleaning staff did an excellent job. The towels were ample and thick and fluffy. The staff was very friendly and considerate. We would definitely stay here again. Can't wait to come back.”
