  • Having freeway close, excellent staff, great breakfast, and free parking.
  • Did not have San Diego Union nor LA Times in hotel. BR fan bit noisy.

“Clean rooms. Pool towels pretty small but staff glad to provide as many as requested. Staff all were helpful and friendly. Has beverages and sundry items for sale in lobby. Computers for guest to use in lobby area as well. No charge for parking, a real plus in San Diego.”

  • Good breakfast and couldn't beat the quality.
  • Location didn't meet our needs.

“Clean, convenient to freeway and too far from Carlsbad town center.”

  • Close to anywhere.
  • Noise of freeway traffic.

“Htel is nice especially the free hot breakfast, although they only serve egg varieties. Rom is clean, though updating would be better. Oerall,
I recommend it to everyone.”

  • Reasonably priced for two rooms.
  • I did not have a problem with the Lego land kids being noisy.

“Complementary breakfast was good with a wide variety of food. Pool was comfortable. Fitness room was not adequate.”

  • Location is good, staffs are very helpful and the complementary breakfast is great.
  • The door of the room seems old.

“Location of the hotel is great, close by Lego land and restaurant and the outlet, only 5-10 minutes drive. The complementary breakfast was excellent. My daughter enjoyed the stay a lot. Overall experience was very satisfactory.”

  • Complimentary breakfast was good.
  • Room is very small, very disappointed.

“I would never ever stay at this hotel. I guess this hotel should have a 1 * instead of 2.5/3 *. Overall I was very disappointed.”

  • I enjoyed that this hotel was located close to our destinations.
  • The bathroom had fixtures that were hanging instead of being screwed down!

“For the price, the hotel met all of our needs. It has a lovely pool/spa area. The free continental breakfast was ok. It is located just minutes from the beach and Lego land. The room was basic and in need of some fine tuning. The fold out sofa was old and the springs in the mattress were poking up. This needed to be replaced. The bathroom had fixtures that were just hanging (e.g. the cover of the tissue dispenser). The staff was pleasant. But, overall, this was a good hotel.”

Cleanliness:[4] • Staff:[1] • Location:[1]

  • The breakfast.
  • The noise from the freeway. The staff would not change rooms for us.

“We could barely sleep because of the noise and I would not recommend this hotel unless you have children.”

  • I liked that our room had a large front room attached, it worked well for my friend calling international and us not talking over each other.
  • Slow internet, people banging the pool door.

“The room well exceeded my expectations it was large, and good quality. The breakfast was nice and the employees were too. Our room was right by the pool door which was at annoying in the morning but over all it was a positive stay.”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[7] • Location:[5]

  • Good location to Lego land.
  • The room was dirty and smelled. My son had to sleep on the sofa bed, which was only a problem when he was asleep the bed block the exit to the room.

“Would not want to stay here again!”

Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[1] • Location:[5]

  • The pool was heated and the area was safe.
  • I couldn't sleep because the hotel is adjacent to the freeway and the sound of trucks driving by all night kept me up, and I am a heavy sleeper.

“The hotel staff at the front desk was far less than courteous. The lady gave me attitude and said they were all out of other rooms. I told her I had called in advance and the man I spoke with said that an upgrade could be purchased for $25.00/night. Then all of a sudden rooms magically appeared.”

“The room had a hideaway sofa bed that we had to use.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[7]

  • Great free, hot breakfast.
  • Can't get out the door if the sofa bed is out unless you crawl over it.

“This hotel was a great deal for the price. The room was small, but clean, and the free breakfast was much better than most. It is not close to the village of Carlsbad, so you have to drive to get into the town, but for the price, it was worth it. We got a room facing the pool/fountain, which was nice, but it was on the first floor and we got a fair amount of noise from people walking by. Luckily, we were already up with our 2 year old, so it wasn't a problem for us.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[8] • Location:[7]

  • Heated pool, clean, friendly service.
  • Too close to freeway.

“The hotel was just fine. I sent in the info for what kind of room I wanted, and when I get to the hotel, the room has one queen size bed for 2 adults and 2 children! I had to pay $15.00 extra a night to get my kids a room with a fold out couch!”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[5]

  • Friendly staff, maid service great, really good complimentary breakfast.
  • Nothing to do within walking distance, too close to freeway (noise), mattress uncomfortable.

“It was a nice hotel, but not quite what I was looking for location wise. I went down to be close to Downtown Carlsbad, to drink, and to forget about life for a day, but I had to drive to get anywhere, so drinking and driving became a concern. The staff was super friendly and the complimentary breakfast was really good. Pool was pretty nice, but they were working on the Jacuzzi and the landscaping while I was lying out, so not entirely relaxing. A good family hotel, but not so much for singles.”
