• Location.
• Outdated, noisy, higher price than across the street.

“The Spokane House is outdated and out of a 5 star. It receives a 1 star.”

• Absolutely zilch. Filthy and in disrepair from top to bottom.
• Room was not cleaned, no fresh towels given, trash not dumped.

“Obviously they are just looking at the bottom line. The place was shockingly dirty, garbage and debris in all halls and common areas. First room offered was missing light bulbs, not vacuumed, strange fold-out bed. Asked for another room - taken to darkened, smelly hallway (more missing light bulbs). Found room not vacuumed, windowsill had at least 2 dozen dead flies on sill and floor beneath. Unreal. Room was not cleaned after first night at all. Did not stay 2nd night. When I told desk person, he just shrugged.”

• I can't the rooms were awful.
• The rooms weren't clean there wasn't enough towels, etc the rooms smelled and the breakfast was awful.

• There was nothing we liked about it.

“The rear entry way had not been swept for weeks. The pool was half full of black water. We were away one day and returned at 9:00 p.m. and found the bed had not been made, wet towels not removed, coffee pot not cleaned. No apology from the front desk, only that they were very busy. No one was overseeing the cont. breakfast. There was a mouse in the lobby.”

“Very seedy and out dated. Bad cigarette smell throughout. Not even very clean. Construction noise going on. Unable to sleep.”

• The room was dirty and the heater was broke the clerk was unfriendly.

“This hotel was not even a star it should be listed as a .01 star. The room was very dirty and the room was cold because the heater was broke and looked unsafe to operate. We were afraid to sleep in the beds.”

• Cheap.
• Breakfast was stale. Housekeeping did not clean up towels.

“I don't normally stay at anything below 2 1/2 or 3 star. The continental breakfast was stale, phone service went out the next day, and housekeeping did not pick up towels. Overall the bedding is clean, but that's about the only thing positive about staying cheap. Convenient location to Downtown Spokane.”

• My room was comfortable & had an ironing board.
• Elevator & hallways very dirty.

“Old okay, dirty unacceptable. Elevator not touched in 3 day stay. Hallways ok, but window sills dirty & dead bugs on them; in public areas only. Room fine, enjoyed & used ironing board. No restaurant, cont. breakfast a joke. Toaster dirty & no knobs. Milk jug had crusted milk on lip. No coffee & juice machine broke. Micro in hallway not in breakfast room.”

• Convenient location near the airport.
• Accommodations are run-down and need repair.

“This is an older hotel which needs major renovations to make it a desirable destination. The heater in our first room made such a loud noise, we could barely sleep. In our second room, the toilet was broken. We were given a replacement room which was fairly nice, except that the heater could not be adjusted. We finally turned it off for the night. Front desk service was minimal, the desk was unattended for long periods in the evening. The parking lot was unplowed and filled with deep snow. The one positive side is that the location is convenient to the airport.”

• Front desk clerk was unpleasant, room was filthy; had to move to another room.

“This was a horrible place. When finally checked in (after 1 hour) the room had dirty sheets (someone's hair), mouthwash and spit in the bathroom sink, hair in the bathtub, some kind of sauce all over the table, the floor was gross and when I requested a new room it was at minimal a little better.”

• The desk clerk was friendly.
• The fire alarm sounded four times during the night.

“This may have been a nice place in its day but should be either completely renovated or torn down. The rooms were fairly clean but outdated. The fire alarm system is faulty and there are no fire sprinklers. The restaurant was closed and the breakfast was terrible.”

• The hot blond hooker from the street out front she was good she was great.
• Flours were dirty didnt receive maid service.

“It needs refurbishing. I am tonight staying in a b & b in a neighboring city for only $30 more. It's the best $30 I spent. I am comfortable and enjoying my room. While functional I did not enjoy my room or my stay at this property.”

• No shower chair, breakfast, not happy.

“This hotel has a small pool. The breakfast was a joke. I called the day before asking for a shower chair, they said no problem, then I had to use another room to shower. The shower in the disability room is a joke, don't fall off the tiny seat, and try not to slip and fall when getting out because most water goes onto floor. I'll never stay there again.”

• Location, for me, was perfect.
• Room was great, the hotel was not.

“Rooms were fine. Outside the room, though, only one ice machine of five and one soda machine of six worked. The single internet station was broken, the restaurant was being remodeled, and Continental breakfast was waffles and coffee.”

• Amazing city views!
• A little ways from downtown.

“This is a cool historic hotel. We loved it. Our room was great and had a big Jacuzzi tub! The view of Spokane was amazing. The staff helped us out allot with restaurants...”

• There was nothing we liked.
• Dirty, unfriendly, worst hotel experience ever!

“We stayed at this hotel and flew out the next morning. It was dirty, staff were not friendly and the restaurant is open two days a week and because it is out of the way there is no where else to eat. We were shuttled to the airport for are flight. When we arrived back in Spokane at midnight (with small children) we phoned the hotel cause they were supposed to pick us up and take us back to the hotel were told that they didn¿t have a drive, which we found out that they never do on Sundays, and that we had to phone a cab. They would not make the arrangements to get us to the hotel we had to. Well being that there was six of us; we had to wait for two cabs in the freezing cold. Then when we got back to our hotel the room we were put in was worse than the other night we had stayed. It had not been cleaned, the heater was broken and there were a pair of dirty underwear on the floor by the bed. When I confronted the staff they gave us another room, which if it wasn¿t 1 a.m. By this time I would have stayed somewhere else, and they told us they would give me back for the inconvenience. Will never stay again! And do not recommend at all. And we stay in Spokane allot.”
