• Location.
• Paring. Very tight spaces and I only drive a small car.

“Location great in heart of San Clemente. Staff was great and rooms about what I expected for a mid star hotel.”

• Nothing.
• The room we had was against the freeway.

“When I asked if we could upgrade to a room with a balcony and a view we were told that it was overcast and we wouldn't be able to see anything anyway.”

• Coffee in the room and a refrigerator.
• Right on the freeway. Needs updating.

“Not a 3 star hotel. Over valued for what it was. If it would have been a 1 star I would have been very pleased.”

• The hotel was ok. The staff was friendly and cooperative.
• It was just ok.

“The hotel is fine for an overnight stay. The staff was helpful. When we got to our room, it was one bed with a sofa sleeper and a bathtub in the room. We were in a hurry and needed to get ready to go to a wedding. We had to run down to the desk and change rooms. They had none left but were kind enough to offer a manager room that was adequate. We were almost late for the wedding due to the room error and traffic.”

• Clean room.
• Interstate 5 was right outside my window. Impossible to sleep!

“While I'm sure some of the rooms are quiet, the proximity to a major freeway makes this hotel unacceptable. Should not be rated 3 stars for this reason alone!”

• It was available.
• The bedbugs. I itched for days.

“I can't believe I paid that much for that hotel. It smelled of mildew, I got bit by bed bugs (had to sleep in my clothes on towels) and the front desk was rude.”

“Nice out of the way hotel, secluded enough but still easy to find. Has a very good restaurant with equal service and close to local restaurants.”

• All appliances were in good working order, microwave, refrigerator and coffeepot.
• A longer walk to the beach than I expected.

“I really enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn. It has a really great pool and spa that no one seemed to take advantage of because of their close proximity to the beach. The front desk staff were not very friendly but room service and housekeeping were excellent. The rooms were clean even if older and a little worn. I did not have a view but if I had been on the other side of the building there would have been a great view of the ocean.”
