• Pet friendly with tennis courts and dog park nearby.
• Freeway noise, dark parking lot.

“The T.V. didn't work, the bathtub dripped, there was way too much freeway noise, and I was on the back side of the hotel nearest the unlit parking lot made me fear for security. I love tennis, have a dog, am in my 20's and can handle freeway noise. Free Wi-Fi offset the need for a TV IMO, and I don't rely on TV anyway. The leaky bathroom was more of an issue with my conscience than anything else, and I am sure they will fix the things I am complaining about after I reported them.”

• Friendly staff, economy and a decent value for my price.
• Could use some paint, but it was fine.

“My room was roomy and clean and had a fridge. Hot water came instantly. The staff was friendly and helpful. I read some bad reviews on TripAdvisor, but I disagree. For the money, the hotel is a very decent stay. The retail price is not too much higher than a Motel 6. You get a more comfortable room at the Claremont and a little breakfast snack to boot.”

• Large bedroom, refrigerator and close to freeway.
• Neighbors were noisy, dusty.

“Better than what I expected. Could have been dusted. Customer service was excellent when I complained about neighbors and lack of coffee pot. Very quick check in.”

• Service.
• My section, Room no. 161, was in a dark area that was a little scary.

“Very convenient for visiting Fairplex or Barrett's Equine. Shuttle to fair provided. Excellent service and response from staff. Both the room and the parking area could use brighter light. Would request a room not so far from the Central area.
”

• Comfortable bed.
• Tub backed up a bit.

“It was perfectly clean and comfortable, and the price for the area was terrific! We also enjoyed a dip in the pool after a hot trip to the area.”

• It was cheap for the area.
• In very poor repair.

“Although this hotel is in a lucrative area, it is apparent that none of that income has gone into the upkeep and repair of the facility. Peeling wallpaper, broken fixtures, missing outlet covers and non-functioning smoke detectors are just some of the delights waiting for you at the Hotel Claremont. As for me, I'll sleep in my car.”

• Convenience to freeway/restaurants and airports.
• Wish the hotel updated.

“Hotel Claremont has a dynamic location, great front desk staff and quiet, comfortable surroundings. The rooms with sofa/chair/table & chairs are very, very comfortable. The beds are very restful. The carpet could use replacing as well as updating the decor. Great access to the freeway and close to the colleges.”
