• Clean and tastefully decorated rooms, friendly staff.
• Our room was located next to the hotels cleaning supply room, so there was more traffic than normally expected.

• Location is good.
• It was like staying in a giant ashtray stinky Smokey.

“Room was recently refurbished but reeked of cigarette smoke. Staff were dullards who didn't seem to care that they had no non-smoking rooms. Told me I could go to another motel. Said they could do nothing since I booked on Priceline. The food in the resturant was mediocre. I ordered Turkey which was drowned in canned gravy. I could have been in a Greyhound bus diner in 1972. They were very proud of their salad bar
best in town but lettuce was brown where it had been cut, again a time machine to the 70's. I would sleep in my car rather than stay in this stink hole again.”

• It had a fridge, microwave and coffee pot.
• Would not change my room type.

• Main lobby had a casino where smoking is allowed.

• The room had a fan.
• No elevator. Difficult to carry heavy luggage up stairs and I saw elderly people struggling.

• The beds were very comfortable. The room was clean and quiet. The restaurant on site had a nice selection of food.
• The bathrooms in the rooms are very small, which is tough with small children. I hate walking through the casino to get to the restaurant.

“The hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable. Although it's right on the road, the rooms blocked out almost all of the noise. The on site restaurant was nice and the food was good. I did hate to have to walk through the casino to get to the restaurant, though. All in all, a nice place to stay.”

• It was inexpensive.
• They would not give us a room with two beds, and the casino was smoky.

“The Red Lion in Winnemucca was conveniently located for a driving trip we took to Yellowstone. The room was nice enough, although the check-in was in a very smoky casino. What I didn't like was the staff's attitude.”

• Clean, comfortable rooms.
• The stench of smoke from the casino made the time spent at check-in intolerable.

“Hotel room was clean and comfortable, bed was reasonably comfortable. Casino noise was not a problem where our room was located. The stench of cigarette smoke as you enter the hotel to check in was a real turn-off - we were tempted to go elsewhere.”

• It was clean and had a great bed, very comfortable. Also everything was indoors.
• The hotel furnace! It was so loud it woke me every time it cycled on and off.

“It is an older hotel with really nice rooms that are well maintained and kept clean. The staff was friendly and efficient and tended to our needs and wants. The restaurant service was almost as good as the food we ordered! If your in Winnemucca, this is the place to stay.”

• Easy on & off of I-80.
• Bedding didn't fit the queen bed I slept in & had to change to the other bed.

• Bath & Body Works Toiletries in Bathroom.
• Wanted A Two Bed Room and was told there would be a price increase.

“Check-in was fast and easy. Upon arrival in our room we noticed there was only one bed. We called the front desk to see if there were any two bed rooms available. They finally agreed to give us a two bed room as it was a weeknight and we were only there for one night.”

• Staff was very friendly and helpful.
• We were put in a smoking room. We are non-smokers.

“Being full we were put in a smoking room as non-smokers. We requested a room change and weren't allow to as they were full. However the staff came in and deodorized it. We had a pleasant stay.”

• It is a casino environment.

“The Red Lion works hard to keep this out of date casino hotel modern and comfortable, convenient for the occasional business traveler but it would not be found acceptable by the "road warriors" among us.”
