• No free internet access.

“Overall, the hotel was fantastic. We received a free upgrade upon arrival and the room we ended up in was a very large suite. We really enjoyed our stay.”

• The view of the ocean and the staff was very attentive.
• None.

“My wife and I stayed at the Hyatt for a weekend just to get some rest and relaxation. We were very impressed with the hotel. The room was amazing and the food at the Californian was superb. Our concierge was very nice and helped us with anything we needed. My wife also got her navel pierced at body piercing which was located only 5 minutes drive from the hotel. The hotel also had a pool that was the perfect place for us to just sit and do absolutely nothing. Our stay at the Hyatt was great and I would recommend our friends to stay there as well.”

• Good location, very pretty grounds, nice pool area and convent restaurants.
• Bathroom shower leaked and we didn't get clean up until 2nd request. No view of ocean like requested.

“They need the staff to respond to customers complaints and when promising a room with partial view of the ocean than that's what they should get we were put in a room without the view and it was a handicapped room. The shower flooded every time we used it. They must have known the problem existed long before we stayed there!”

• Beautiful room. I loved having extra pillows, complimentary water, coffee and having the robes.

• The dining, grounds, room decor, picturesque setting, and service were exquisite.
• Can't think of anything.

“This was a marvelous facility. The tranquil setting near the ocean, the close proximity to events and shopping, and the dining experience were the reasons for the excellence Hyatt is known for.”

“What a surprise to our eyes when we pulled up to this hotel! We never expected such a glorious resort. We have done quite a bit of traveling throughout the US and the Caribbean, but The Hyatt Huntington Beach, has truly been the best so far. ”

“This is a wonderful resort stay with luxurious accommodations. Loved the bedding and spaciousness of the resort. The spa is one of the best I have been at.”

• Nice spa and good location by the beach and pier.
• Because of Internet Purchase - bad location of room. Then received dirty sheets.

“Nice location near beach. However, since we purchased room through Internet received a bad location of room. Later we slipped into the bed and saw makeup on sheets. Thought it was waterproof and the sheets wouldn't get clean so I laid down anyway, only to get up and the bottom sheet was dirty. EEK. I was upset called front desk who then told be to contact housekeeping - they didn't come to change sheets for about an hours so, my husband when downstairs talked to manager at the front desk about refund, since no one has taken care of the room, they informed me that since we purchased on Internet that they would not refund. But would give us another room. We moved into another same size room overlooking the ocean. Would have been nice to get a room like that, if the room was available the first time, instead of getting it by dirty sheets.”

• Loved the pool with a movie.
• Too large and spread out, parking expensive for guest.

“They were not accommodating. Picture showed a hide a bed couch - we had a chair, so no extra bed. told we would get a queen hide abed, got twin, told we would not be charged. charged $9.00.parking was $21 valet, hotel guest should have better rate and more accessibility. Too far from shops, hotel too spread out!”

• Large Rooms, Great Spa and poolside service.
• Lots of "extra" charges added at checkout - people sleeping outside both nights at F/P area.

“The hotel is beautiful, close to the beach and has everything you might want. The spa and pool areas are both nice, and there is a grocery and bike/surf gear rental store on-site (we used both). The staff was wonderful. The only draw backs are the extra charges that come as a surprise at check out (parking $21- a day & service fee $9- a day), and the fact that the really friendly hotel staff apparently doesn't mind allowing folks to sleep outside (not sure if these kids (18ish) were hotel guests or not, but there were there every morning). We were also over charged twice in one day at the pool.”

• Restaurant wait staff was not helpful and bordered on racist.

“A few friends of mine chose to stay at the hotel while flying into town for the Angel/Yankee game. The looked nice and was located right on the beach. The room was clean and the front desk staff was friendly. However, the wait staff in the lounge chose not to serve my Latin friend, until the rest of us had arrived. They walked by him for 20 minutes, not even offering a greeting. When confronted about the issue, they denied any wrong doing, but gave us a few breakfast comps to shut us up. My friend left the hotel and didn't return. Needless to say, this isn't the type of service we had hoped to receive from such a high end resort...especially in California. Felt more like Kentucky. We get together every year in Anaheim/Newport/Huntington Beach for opening day, spending thousands on each trip and never do so at the this hotel again. Turn your noses down on someone else.”
