• Price.
• Uncomfortable bed, dirty room, ants, no maid service, non-smoking room smelled like smoke, etc.

“In a decent location. The room was really smelly, dirty carpets, no extra pillows, rock hard bed, non smoking room that smelled like an old casino.”

• Kitchenette.
• Paying upgrade for 2 beds not just one.

“The room was relatively clean. A kitchenette, but no frying pan. Too few kitchen tools. The AC unit dripped condensation on the carpet and made it wet near the window. It was quite, easy parking, a Wendy's next door, close enough freeway access.”

• I feel at home here and really nice.
• The maid came in too early, before I left and I was uncomfortable.

“Extended Stays in Cypress is one of my favorites. I just wish they would train the housekeeping staff not to come into the room when people haven't left yet.”

• The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable.

• It’s clean and comfortable, and quiet.
• It does not have an ice dispenser; you need to make your own in the room's fridge.

“The hotel is nice, clean, and relatively close to a lot of areas in Orange County. It's not really close to the major freeways, but it's within a short driving range of them.”

• The kitchen amenities and all the staff on property.
• It is a little like a rest home.

• I think your hotels need to have swimming pools.

• The price.
• The location wasn't near any restaurants.

“Overall, our stay at the Homestead in Orange County was a pleasant one, for the price it was very comfortable and clean. The thing I most liked about it was the kitchen, it was a shame we weren't staying longer.”

• Nice courtyard and pool area and attractive, comfortable room.
• Air conditioning unit was stinky.

“Comfortable, affordable, clean and friendly. Very close to Knott's Berry attractions and good, inexpensive area for other attractions if you have a rental car. Pool area is small, but has nice landscaping and feels like being at a resort.”

• Price, hotel looked nice.
• Smelled like mothballs, fan in bath extremely noisy, closet door wouldn't roll, TV didn't work.

“I think the hotel could have been great, but just wonder if I got a bad room. It really stunk like mothballs, the TV was broken (in all fairness we never asked for a replacement TV as we were not there much). The fan in the bathroom was so loud that we never turned the light on in the bathroom as it would wake the other person, maybe even the people in the next room! The room looked very clean, but there was some kind of white powder on the bathroom floor. We were only there 2 days and not in the room much, so we didn't ask for things to be fixed, so it may be that we could have been moved to another room.”

• I liked that I could order an additional bed in the room.
• I did not like having to ask for basic items such as shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and such.

“There was plenty of parking and easy access to our room. Each night we returned to the hotel there were two men standing outside the side entrance smoking cigarettes and making us feel uncomfortable by their presence. There were no frills at this hotel, except for a lounge room all guests could use and a kitchenette in our room that was stocked with the bare minimum as far as plates, cups and utensils go. The front desk was attentive to our needs and was friendly.”

• Evening manager on Saturday night was extremely pleasant.
• The hotel showerhead felt like Chinese water torture. Asked for nonsmoking, got smoking instead. Outdated rooms.

“If you're looking for amenities, this is not the place to go. It's for basic, no-nonsense business travelers that need a place to stay for the night and that's about it. I guess for long-term stays it would be okay, but for leisure, stay away, it's not pleasant.”

• It was so much better than the one Redlands. For the price it was pretty good.
• The carpet wasn't as clean as it should have been. There were ants in the room.
