“When I checked in I was asked to upgrade which caused me to pay $40.00 a night by a very rude front desk agent!”

“I should have known when the three people ahead of me in line walked away from the front desk in disgust there would be issues at this hotel, however, I had made my reservation 2 mos in advance, it was hot and I was tired. All I wanted was a room! It began with no elevator, packing my 50 lbs bag for the week up the stairs to only find out my key card did not work. Back down the stairs, staff re-swiped the card, back up the stairs. Still no good. Back down the stairs to be told something wrong with the card lock, have to call in maintenance staff as no maintenance staff on site! Went to dinner, come back told all was well with the key card, sweet! Back up the stairs (without the baggage this time) swiped the key opened the door and OMG! The room was thrashed! Some heavy partying done in there the night before! Back down the stairs, no office staff to be found! Went outside and low and behold there she was smoking at the back door! 3 1/2 hours after arrival I got a different room! Needless to say, I was not much rested for work the next day! I will be back in La Grande in late summer but not to this hotel!”

• The staff was friendly and helpful.
• We did not have enough towels, and no elevator, and no juice at breakfast.

“I liked the hotel very much, but I really wish it had an elevator. Traveling with two children and all our baggage was quite difficult going up and down stairs. Our room was nice and the kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool.”

• Free internet access and microwave and fridge in room.
• We found it hard to find.

“We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again -- we loved having a microwave and small refrigerator in our room -- I enjoyed checking my email for free in their business center -- it was clean.”
