• Nice staff.
• Tacky finishes, the water smells like
  rotten eggs.

“The water smells like rotten eggs. The pillow is as soft as an old tire. No need for an alarm clock. The plumbing noises will wake you. The lobby decor screams 1970 Holiday Inn.”

• Room not ready, beds not made.

“Was told at check in there were no rooms available with one bed. Given room with beds not made, dirty. Then they "found" a room with king bed.”

• Clealiness, proximity to downtown and client.
• Bed was terrible, room outdated - essentially no commons area.

“This hotel is ideal for those who plan to work all night since the noisy wall unit air conditioning and poor quality bed make sleeping nearly impossible. The hotel is in desperate need of a makeover, but is clean and well cared for, considering it's outdated fixtures and furnishings. It is well located for conducting business anywhere in the Pasadena area and affords a pleasant and short stroll to shops, restaurants and stores.”

• I had to have my door key recharged 4 times in 5 days.

“My room was without a view and workers were working in the adjacent area making a lot of noise. The food was terribly expensive with no low cost items on the menu.”

• Room was clean and nicely decorated with updated LCD TV and furnishings. Location was very close to all downtown shops, restaurants, etc.
• The hotel staff could use a refresher course in customer service professionalism.

• Many business class people were there so we felt left out as leisure travelers.

• The location and the complimentary shuttle.
• Our room was horrible and I cannot believe they rent it out.

“Our room was absolutely horrible. It had one very small window in the far corner of the room, which did nothing to add light because of where it was. It looked out onto an alleyway. The room was in between the laundry facilities for the hotel linens and the storage closet. You had noise from the washers and dryers and the housekeeping carts banging along. It was narrow and dark with very low ceilings. I honestly would have thought it was supposed to be a storage room.”

• Tastefully and elegantly decorated, attentive and friendly staff, rooms were spacious.
• No view/patio not enjoyable (location of hotel is next to convention center and apartments (so we kept the filter curtains closed).

“This older hotel is centrally located, and has been recently renovated. We were very pleasantly surprised with how nice it is. It has a fresh and elegant new decor, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Rooms were spacious.”

• It is close to the mall and the theater. It is within walking distance to restaurants and neighborhoods.

“The hotel is located off Colorado behind the open mall. It is within walking distance to good food, shops, and the theater. Get up early and go for a walk, you will find something of interest on the way.”

• Comfy bed, flat screen, fridge in room, business center - all pluses.
• $13/day parking, ongoing construction, slow elevators.

“The room was large & newly renovated. There was a balcony but the view was under construction - still nice to open the door for fresh air. Room had fridge & coffee maker. The elevators were a little slow and did not have up or down indicators - not a big deal. Their business center was great - I could check my email and even print out my boarding pass. It was too cold to swim so I didn't even check out the pool. The fitness center was adequate. Be prepared for the $13/day parking charge. I enjoyed my stay.”

• Excellent location close to Old Town Pasadena, shops, restaurants, etc.
• Very noisy in early morning hours before 7:00 AM with bus and construction noise unchecked by hotel.

“Excellent location within walking distance of museums, shops, restaurants etc. Nice room if a little small with two double beds. Faucet in bathroom leaked and air-conditioning unit very loud. Staff was very friendly.”
