• The location was very good close to Convention Center.
• The bathrooms in this hotel are in wall-less & in the living area no privacy, terrible!

“The staff at the Travelodge excellent, location good. The design of the bathrooms poor! The sink & mirrors are in the living room on carpet soon as you walk through the door you are in washing area, Take a shower walk out into the room on the carpet and shave unsatisfactory. No privacy while shaving or brushing teeth etc.”

• I liked the closeness to Downtown.
• I did not like the staff and that there was no warning the pool was under construction.

“The hotel staff was very rude. We knew the checkout time was 11:00 am and we got told that about four times by various staff. When we checked in the staff behind the counter was very rude. You needed an access code to use their' internet service and they made you come downstairs and get it instead of bringing it up to the room. I would not stay here again.”

• Absolutely nothing.
• Pigs have better accommodations.

“I checked in, found the prize in the toilet, smelled the mold in the air and checked out. I did not stay as it was the most disgusting room I have ever been in. I would have been better off sleeping in my car. I did not stay due to the conditions. ”

• Rooms are nicely renovated, well located.
• Staff could not have cared less. Even non-smoking room was smoky. Hallways are dirty. Maid came at 5 pm.

“Nicely renovated and well located hotel that could use an attitude adjustment from the front desk staff and ownership. Even non-smoking rooms have smoke infested pillows, and hallways are dirty and scuffed. Maid service arrives at 5 pm and parties in the rooms. Don't believe the line about "free parking" because of the lot is full you are "on your own" and it was full by 6 pm every night of our 4 night stay. ”

• The toilet flushed and there was paper.
• They kicked us out and down the street to the Beach Inn Motel.

“I didn't stay at the hotel that was identified in my receipt. I arrived with my luggage to check in and was told to walk four blocks down to a ratty, hole-in-the-wall motel. I guess I was so treated because I requested a non-smoking room (Travelodge claimed to be out of those), and then was put in a room with a dirty ashtray. I bet it was a smoking room.”

• The room had three queen size beds.
• Plumbing!!! The toilet kept backing up.

“I can not in all earnestness recommend this hotel to anyone. I have never stayed in hotel which did not have a well functioning toilet. One morning my wife had to call the front desk because the toilet was not flushing the contents. I had to run over to Long Beach Cafe to use their toilet but since the men's was busy I had no choice but use the women's toilet. ”

• Convenient location to freeway and restaurants.
• Rather dingy decor.

“For the price it was overrated. I would expect more for the price I paid. The decor and the general appearance of the room and whole facility. Convenient location to freeway and eating places were the saving grace.”

• Balconies, close to beach/attractions.
• Pool was closed.

“Its biggest plus is the location -- within walking distance of the beach, new restaurants/rides, and downtown Long Beach. Its biggest drawback for us, with small children, was the lack of a swimming pool. Overall, I'd be inclined to chose a higher star rating if such amenities are important.”

• Nice room configuration with refrigerators, close to restaurants and amenities in walking distance.
• Beginning to show some wear and tear. Old irons. Light fixtures falling from walls, beds getting a bit worn.

“Nicest of the moderately priced hotels in the convention center area in terms of room amenities and decor. Excellent Mexican Restaurant in hotel , rated best in Long Beach. Walking distance to grocery store and many other restaurants and harbor area. Free parking, refrigerators and coffee makers you don't find in more expensive and higher star rating hotels in the same area.”

“We were given the least desirable rooms on the lowest floor on a busy noisy street. The rooms lacked insulation and so I couldn't sleep because of the traffic and yelling people all night. ”

• cleanliness of halls, pool, etc.

“Travelodge is an economical hotel in an excellent location of Long Beach. It is close to the beach, resturants, and attractions. The rooms are neat and clean with a refrigerator. The halls and pool area need a through cleaning and "freshing-up".It is a good deal for the money.”

• not clean, wrong accomadations, no closet, no iron, was not willing to help us. we left and went to the Renissance Hotel We had to spend double the $

“The motel was dirty. I made these reservations in February and we ended up with 1 queen bed. no window, no closet, no iron the motel management was not willing to accomadate us, the owner kept insisting it was my fault. the place was so bad that we stayed 1 night and the next day packed up and moved to the Renissance and had to spend more money for the next 4 nights stay.”

• Very luxurious rooms for star rating. All amenities including nice restaurant
• No good options for dial up internet access. Dingy pool area.
