“It was extremely difficult to get to the hotel due to a large speedway event taking place less than a block away. The valet and room service were extremely friendly and helpful. The front desk and concierge not very helpful when asking where to go to eat as well as where to buy a soda. Overall it was a nice, clean upscale hotel, but wouldn't rate it 4-star.”

“Service, service, service. The team here clearly made this their focus. The room was extremely comfortable with a beautiful view and I thoroughly enjoyed my time, I look forward to my next visit and would recommend this hotel to everyone.”

“I did not enjoy my stay. The staff was loud outside in the hallway in the morning. The bathtub was not adequately cleaned.”

“The Renaissance is located close to everything. The convention center is across the street, and many shopping and dining opportunities are within easy walking distance. The view is excellent, including the Queen Mary and the Pike. The room was nice. Best of all, there is a Starbucks Coffee shop in the hotel. We enjoyed our stay.”

“I rate this hotel as average. Good location, but first room was so noisy, could hear ambulance sirens, traffic through the window. Very noisy.”

“Hotel location good, bathroom need to be updated, specially cause there is no ceiling fans. Double beds feel more like they are twin and hard. Room and smell gives you a feeling of a very old building. Smell is similar to a salvation army store. My experience was so bad that I wanted to come back home ASAP so I can finally get a good nights rest.”

“The Renaissance Hotel Long Beach is a very convenient location if you are attending a convention at the Long Beach Convention Center. But the hotel is NOT a 4 STAR hotel. It is only a 3 star quality hotel at best.”

“Nice rooms, easy walk down the hill to the convention center or restaurants, and a nice little fitness room made this a worthwhile stay. The Internet connection fees were a little regressive (ironic it's free in a Holiday Inn, but the higher-end hotels like to overcharge for it!). Overall, a solid 4 of 5.”

“View rooms of Queen Mary & L.B. Harbor are enough to rate this good value. Staff and location are beyond expectations. Pine Avenue is downstairs and offers a plethora of outstanding dining experiences and entertainment. This was an unexpected jewel for someone living in Los Angeles over 50 years. Check out the Pacific Diner in San Pedro or the Long Beach Cafe for excellent breakfasts nearby.”

“The hotel was really nice, clean, it was breath taking. However, I was in need of fruit juice or fresh fruit due to blood sugar my health needs early in the morning and it was not available. Aside from that issue, the stay was perfect.”

“Clerks very attentive and helpful. Concierge helpful but had other duties and sometimes not available, though they always followed up with great results. Room and bedding were very comfortable. Bathroom felt spacious. Quality of furnishings was good. Pool was heated, which was nice. Good workout facilities though TV reception on treadmills was poor. Enjoyed hot tub.”

“Maids in the hallways speaking Spanish quite loudly. This hotel was supposed to be so upscale but the housekeeping staff could have used more training on conducting themselves in a more professional manner. They did not even have the class or decency to say "Good Morning" or "Good Afternoon" (They couldn't say two words to guests.) but yet spoke Spanish happily and quite friendly to each other. Please tell them they can not discriminate towards American guests by purposely being rude and unprofessional. Room Service totally messed up our order!”

“The rooms are comfortable, clean, and above average. The staff is friendly and helpful. The swimming pool and Jacuzzi were clean and comfortably situated. The gym was modern (four treadmills and two elliptical, a few weight machines) and open 24 hours, which was very convenient. The restaurant was squeezed into a small space in the lobby and was not special.”

“The hotel was clean, well located and updated. My only complaint was that the club level should be open longer, offer free drinks and replenish their food quicker.”

“Everyone was very friendly! We had stayed at this hotel two weeks prior and had a room on the top floor which was part of an exclusive club where you go to a private room for breakfast and h'ordeaves and drinks in the evening. When we came back we asked if we could be upgraded to the top floor again and they were kind enough to accommodate us for no extra charge.”

“For a 3 star hotel it is okay. The one thing that turned me off was when I found that the bathtub was not clean; I did not feel that the room was clean.”

“This hotel is in a great location; however, the walls are very thin. We thought we were in downtown New York city. The room was extremely noisy with street noise, parking garage noise, and plumbing noise. The room keys did not work; we made 6 trips to the front desk for working room keys. Rooms are small, not good for more than 2 people.”
