• The hotel was in an excellent location.
• The staff was no help with directions, or any question.

“The hotel was beautiful, the people working were beautiful, but don't ask the any questions because they know nothing at all, but they do know how to transfer your call to another department to dodge responsibility.”

• Charging $15 for parking overnight.

• The room was nicely decorated and comfortable.
• No pool.

“Everyone was friendly and helpful. The room was so nice and comfortable. The only complaint is the restaurant outside the hotel (which is advertised within the hotel and does deliver to the room) took forever with the food. The hotel is also located in an ok part of the downtown, but I would never let my wife walk alone.”

• Exposed disconnected light in the pool - el. Hazard!

“First impression  great room - simple, yet well kept dishes - always poorly washed pool - 1st visit - no towels, 2nd visit - see above great lobby and front desk service! Food above average.”

• Good location and easy access to freeways.
• Loud drilling noise at 10 am in the morning; hotel doing installation of high speed internet access.

“Hotel was overall good. I have stayed there once before. This time around they were drilling in the hallway for installation of high speed internet access. I feel they should not be renting out rooms on the floor where work is in progress.”

• Had a balcony with a view of the harbor and ocean. Lovely! Hot tub was wonderful.
• Parking rate $15 a day. No free internet access anywhere in the hotel.

“within walking distance to Pine Avenue and the Pike can take the passport bus for free to the aquarium, shoreline village, queen marry, pine avenue and downtown area. Would definitely stay here again. Room was very spacious. had no problem requesting room with two queen beds upon check in. We were traveling with our kids and needed two beds. We took a risk and it paid off.”

• Clean with wonderful staff.
• Carpet and furniture cleaning taking place while we were guests. Unfortunate timing for us. Carpets remained damp for the day.

• We all enjoyed the bathrooms. They were so clean. Even the tile was clean. No black spots! We loved the headboards. It was clean and fresh.
• The lighting. It was a bit too dark in the room.

“This was our first time in Long Beach. We were there just to get away. I was there with my four children. I have stayed at the Hilton in Downtown Atlanta and we did not like it at all so I wasnt sure I would enjoy this one but to my surprise it was wonderful. The linen was fresh and clean. The bathrooms were beautiful. The majority of the staff was great. The only problem we had was parking around the corner and finding the door on the side. Other than that we loved it and will return to it again!”

• Hotel restaurant is pricey plus there is parking charge.

• We were treated as first class guests.
• Change drinking glasses everyday in room.

• The bed was uncomfortable, Couldn't find any vending machines, the cost of a bottle of water in the room was very expensive.

• Once you pay the price for the room, watch out for the 4-star incidentals.

“I'm a single dad traveling with 19-month old twin girls. They give me no time and space to get the most trivial and granted things done (like unloading the car or buying a carton of milk on the go).The staff of the hotel must've sympathized with my situation because they made every accommodation they could to "ease" my load. Very happy with my stay here and the only reason I wouldn't return is if I could find a similar experience more "central" to my activities in LA.”
