  • Nothing.
  • Staff & internet.

“Their customer service was beyond rude! No internet (that just took the word business out of business trip) I called down to ask them to help me with the details of the internet (maybe I was doing something wrong) I rudely got shut down with a 'I don't know anything you call number on card in room' Okay? That was weird. Continued to call tech support, tech support says the router at the hotel needs to be reset, he'll just call them to do that and the internet should be up and running in about 5 minutes. So I decide to take a shower and 45 minutes later I tried the internet nope! Still doesn't work. Call tech support again and tech support checks and says oh that's odd they didn't reset their router yet (like they told them they would). Okay since the hotel wasn't helping or trying he was going to connect me manually that was complicated but it was done. Of course 10 minutes later I lost it. So as I called back tech support I realized I can sort of pick up the neighbors wireless if I stand half way in the bathroom and the sink area. Tech support tells me that I won't be able to get internet due to too many people on just one line usually they have 4 but 3 of them are down and the hotel doesn't know how to reset their router.”

  • The location china town, good food.
  • The staff was too straight headed. In the reception in the small restaurant, they cant do more than the normal task of the hotel, the owner was nice.

“Chinatown in the center of Los angels, near Hollywood. You can take the 5 highway to Disney land and the 101 to Hollywood.”

  • It was near a metro.
  • I had to pay for parking twice. It was hard to find.

“It seemed like a seedy place. It was clean but dark. The bed was hard, the sheets were itchy.”

  • Easy access from freeway to hotel. Room was clean.
  • Hotel staff did not understand English language all that well. Hard to understand them when asked a question.

“Would recommend staying there again - only - if I was able to stay in the same room. Would only stay again for a night.”

  • Spacious, neat and fully equipped rooms.
  • Extra price for parking, lack of good eating places close to the hotel.

“Rooms were amazingly spacious and neat. Breakfast was included in the room price. I would like to stay there again when I am in L.A.”

  • Different cultural experience - interesting area.
  • The cafe where the continental breakfast was served was disgustingly dirty.

“Big rooms - but first room we were assigned to was used as a storeroom - had to change rooms.”

  • Very clean, quiet, and close to many attractions.
  • Hotel parking was overpriced.

“Staff was friendly and hotel was clean. Everything was within walking distance and although hotel parking was an extra charge. There was plenty of street parking in the evenings.”

  • We were very close to downtown and many restaurants.
  • Don't' ask the staff for restaurant recommendations.

“Clean, great location and close to lots of attractions.”

  • The desk person was friendly.
  • The additional parking charge.

“It felt like apartment living, which was fine for the one night we were there. There was nothing for the young ones to do (they traveled in our group), and no channel on TV for the kids either. With the parking charge, I would have actually spent less at the Hampton Inn.”

  • This hotel rooms were spacious.
  • There were bugs flying in the rooms as we entered. The bathrooms were too small and cramped.

“This is a hotel that is located in the heart of China Town. For anyone visiting for the cultural experience, this would be an excellent choice. The rooms were large and spacious.”

  • Near the train station, clever design with open courtyard huge room.
  • Weird parking garage.

“Centrally located near Union Station, next to oldest Hispanic market and inside Chinatown, this hotel exceeded our expectations. Nice complementary breakfast in adjoining coffee shop, helpful staff, good tour of LA that left from the hotel, and a nicely furnished huge room with a fridge. Very quiet no traffic noise.”

Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[6] • Location:[7]

  • Spacious room, interesting location with convenience.
  • No real cable.

“The hotel said "cable plus HBO" which implied actually cable. When in fact it was the basic 11 channels, most of which were fuzzy. In fact, it was just Ethernet and wireless was out in the lobby only. The bathtub was not clean enough to take a bath but everything else was spotless. The room was spacious and quiet and I enjoyed the location. The continental breakfast was in a cafe down the way a bit and it was great. Waffles, not just your standard bagels and muffins. Plus, it was fun to watch all the old Asian men gambling away on lottery scratch tickets and hanging with their circle of old friends.”

  • Good hard wire (LAN) internet access.
  • Forced to valet car but there is no valet after 11pm to retrieve car.

“Not a bad hotel, felt safe, room was clean and staff was very nice. Except the parking requires valet in the small underground garage I am in and out often and the tipping can add up. Also I was going to go out late and found there was no valet after 11. The desk clerk had to retrieve my keys and had I been in a hurry I would have been in trouble.”

  • It was fun staying in Chinatown, and the hotel was quiet.
  • They charged for parking at the hotel, $8 a night.

“This hotel is pretty basic, a no-frills room to sleep in, which was all we needed. It was a 10-30 min drive to everything we want to do in L.A. It is right in the middle of Chinatown and that was fun. There is a continental breakfast, which was also basic fare but it did the job. They had nice tables outside to sit at so that was pleasant. No highchairs though and we have a baby so that was difficult. My biggest complaint was they charged $8 a night for parking at the hotel. It was valet so that was nice, but it is such a small parking lot it wasn't inconvenient to park it ourselves. And our second night the valet was off duty so we had to park it ourselves and pay! I didn't care for that. But other than that my husband and I both said we would stay there again if we were in the area.”

  • There were roaches in the room.

“This hotel has a good downtown location but the rooms look old and dingy and they are not insect free. It looks like a place where people come to do drugs not go on vacation.”
