• Tied for best hotel I have ever stayed at, tied with Munich Airport hotel.
• The rooms were a bit outdated, small TV's.

“Amazing hotel, luxurious lobby and amazing location. Parking was a bit pricy and not included in the room, but with a place that amazing, it is expected.”

• Good price, decent location.
• $42 parking, noisy.

“One of the worst hotel experiences, and this is supposed to be a 4 star hotel. It started with the parking, they only have valet which is $42 dollars a night, then the noise level once it gets to about 5 in the morning if your room just happens to face the 110 freeway. Also the walls and adjoining doors are super thin so you can hear everything going on in the next room. The last night I stayed there, I literally got 2 hours of sleep. Terrible.”

• Staff on the whole was friendly and very helpful.
• The concierge on the first day was inattentive bordering on rude.

“The response time for special services was prompt and courteous. The front desk person was patient and very helpful. He was very affable and genuine. The bell hops were friendly also except for the one who called our mini van taxi the day we left. He was brusque and not very patient.”

• The view over LA was awesome.
• The room was somewhat small but not too bad, but the $42 parking seemed a bit much.

“The hotel is close to some very good food and bars. I know the standard has an excellent bar and is only a couple blocks away. We had to go somewhere we hadn't been though. We decided on The Edison, a short $6 cab ride away. It was a very nice relaxing atmosphere. Overall a very good trip.”

• The locations.
• The quality and attention to detail really seems to have slipped.

“The Bonaventure is starting a slide - the hotel isn't all that clean, the amenities in the room are almost non-existent- no mini bar, only plastic cups, one robe, not very helpful staff, outside areas not well maintained. My previous downtown stay was at the Omni, which I really liked. I would not look forward to stay at the Bonaventure again.”

• Great room, clean & quiet.
• The parking charge.

“Upscale hotel in Business District of Los Angeles. Close to Chinatown and other attractions. On weekends park on the street as parking is chargeable. Avoid the Brewery, food and beer not very good.”

• Elegant setting and decor, close to music center and business.
• Bedroom rug was dirty, duvet on bed was soiled.

“Would stay there again. Friendly staff, beautiful lobby, many eating places and bar, convenient to downtown and freeways. Bedroom carpeting and bed were soiled. Otherwise fine.”

• I liked the Westing beds and the shops/restaurants in the lobby.
• Valet parking. It was expensive at $42/night and took forever to get your car.

“Very nice location right off the highway in downtown. Plenty to do in the hotel itself. Short walk from the Staples Center and a movie theater is across the street.”

• The beds were heavenly.
• The pool was closed and my room smelled like cigarettes even though it's a smoke free hotel.

“Nice showers and heavenly bed. Close to the Convention Center and good restaurants. Friendly staff.”

• Clean and comfortable. Most of the staff is friendly and helpful.
• Parking is very expensive.

“We are very happy with our staying. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. Parking is very expensive so do not rent a car if you are travel on your own money. Metro buses take you to most of the places. Most staff is friendly and helpful but few are not - we asked the public parking nearby the hotel. The doorman's answer was there was none. We did manage to find $10/overnight garage nearby.”

• The employees we dealt with were nice and understanding.
• I found a bar of used soap with hair on it in the shower and used toilet paper between the sheets.

“Although the management changed our room after we found a dirty bar of soap in our shower, a used toilet paper in between the sheets of our bed and something white on our black TV remote control. We failed to enjoy sleeping in our room. We won't be staying there again.”
