“Comfort inn in Hollywood is not clean. You need to wear slippers all the time bed. The carpet is so disgusting. I am so embarrassed with my guests who came all the way far. Boston and NY.”

“In all good conscience, could not recommend this hotel, would rather sleep in my car in an alley and save the money, sorry to be blunt but very disappointed.”

“The paint smell in the rooms was a bit irritating. Otherwise, I can't really say, because I got a room upgrade due to some mishaps. The parking garage was a life saver (storm...), but cost extra. Location ok, directly near 101 and reasonably close to where I had to go, easy access.”

“A last-minute trip to Hollywood brought us to this hotel. It was an extremely pleasant experience easy to find. Parking was just $5. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean throughout. (Just want to note that they appeared to be doing renovations on our floor, but it never disturbed us in any way). A generous continental breakfast was provided, with cereal, coffee, tea, juices, fruit, muffins and I think waffles. But we also had a mini-fridge, coffeepot and microwave in our room. The only possible complaint we had was the Internet service that we paid a couple dollars for barely worked. Often we couldn't get online, or if we did, it was VERY slow. But we were very happy with this place and would seek it out specifically if back in the area.”

“First I don't like the fact that you need to pay 9.50 for parking. Thee room didn't have a coffee maker, it suppose to have one. Second when I book the room again they called 9 times in 15 minutes to get the parking fee, as I explained I am taking a shower and will come down to pay. They even came to my door twice and this is all around 8:30 a.m.”

“While the room had some nice features (granite counter tops, nice carpeting, newer furnishings, fridge/micro/iron board) the property is not being well maintained charged extra for parking but lot was full (overflowing: cars parked in spots which were not parking spaces) when returned on Sat night. Very noisy, very inconsiderate guests, not a good clientèle Window open when I arrived, when I slid it closed, it fell out of its frame and hit me in the forehead. A/c was vandalized--inoperative. Bath faucet was loose/improperly installed, no towel bars or TP holder in bath. Closet door was on one hinge. Would not stay there again. ”

“The bathroom had a great deal of fungus growing on the walls. I requested a non-smoking room but was put in a stinky smoking room!”

“This was a very below average hotel. With the other choices in the area for the same price, I would never go to this hotel again.”

“The hotel is in the middle of a remodel and was quite trashed. There was trash all over the front of the hotel and all over the garage. The air didn't work in the lobby or the hallways. On the way there I requested a smoking room, they said no problem. When I got there they had no smoking rooms. No problem, I'll smoke outside. When I got to my room half was new and half was old. The bed, dresser, linens, and the TV were new. The fridge and the bathroom were old. There were cigarette burns on the bathroom counter and I found about 5 long brown hairs in the bathroom (I have blonde hair). Overall it was disgusting. I don't say that lightly either.”

“First of all the rooms were being renovated during our stay, so dust was everywhere. The staff did not communicate very well, the shower in our room did not work at all. Overall this was not a very wise decision to stay here, but the location is very convenient.”

“The list of things wrong with my room #103 - closet door was missing the door knob, 2 huge holes in the wall, carpet was missing between door and closet (the 5 inch door jam was bare floor), entire entry of the room was bare walls or plaster patch work or really worn wallpaper, bed was very hard, pillows were worn and thin, floor board trim was unpainted and worn, there were food stains and gum on the wall in plain view, it was a no smoking room yet the bedside stand was covered with cigarette burns, top of the dresser was filthy and needed refinishing, there was plastic sheeting with construction over spray covering the windows, the shower head was rusty and inadequate, the bathroom walls and ceiling were covered with speckled mold, the ceiling trim wallpaper is pealing away both top & bottom and is encrusted with MOLD, the toilet seat is worn, chipped and dirty and needs to be replaced. It was gross.”

“If you're only needing a place to sleep, this would be fine. But I was kind of grossed out by the mold in the bathroom. Also, one of the towels had a good sized hole in it. This hotel also makes you pay $5 for parking. No, there isn't any other place to park. The continental breakfast was served too late for me to make a comment on it. We left before the clerk put it out. Overall, the price was right, but the place wasn't that great.”

“The area is not touristy, but tourist areas are easily reached by the Metro. The hotel could use some updating, carpets are worn, wallpaper is peeling, all rooms are smoking. For the money, I don't know if there is a better place. The staff were helpful.”

“The front desk person was not friendly. Also, parking was inconvenient. We were directed to park in some back alley lot which is secured by a locked gate after midnight, thus preventing us from being able to take the car out after hours. The room condition was decent although it smelled of cigarettes. The cleaning staff was annoying as they kept attempting to open hour door repeatedly even though there is a safety latch, which indicates that the guests are still around. Overall the experience was not enjoyable. I would hope to not patronize this hotel again.”

“There were hookers walking the streets right out side. They never washed the bed spread. It stank real bad and the heater didn't work.”
