• Beautiful view of the Hollywood hills. Ultra modern rooms. Fancy Smancy!
• We would have liked a little more lighting in the toilet for applying make up and shaving. The ambient lighting was gorgeous but not adequate for us.

“Great location for busy crowded Hollywood. Beautifully decorated and close to many famous clubs and restaurants. Like most large cities we had to pay for parking at the hotel-bummer! We would not hesitate to stay here again.”

• The large room and comfortable bed.
• The construction zone in the lobby and lack of a fitness center.

“I thought that the hotel's rooms were comfortable and large. It's a good location that is convenient for the people that I was working with and I didn't need to rent a car. Given that, there was plenty to do within walking distance. I'll enjoy the hotel more when they're done with the remodel and have all of their facilities available.”

• The view from our room was fantastic; looked over Downtown LA and Hollywood.
• It was under reconstruction of the front lobby area. Construction noise started early.

“This is the second time I've stayed at the Hyatt on Sunset. I enjoy the hotel for it's convenient location to local attractions I enjoy. There's lots of places to see within walking distance or short drive. I like the nostalgia of the hotel, as well. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. I will definitely return to that hotel.”

• Contemporary, clean.
• Under construction! Lobby was a mess and jack hammers were going all morning!

“Eventually I am sure this will be a very nice hotel, but very disappointing that there was so much construction going on in the lobby and mezzanine. The lobby was essentially unusable even as a meeting space - small and half blocked off by temporary walls. Although I was already up, at 8 a.m. each morning the hammers started and there was noise all day. But the room itself was clean, user-friendly, offered a great view and the amenities were fine. Beware though - overnight parking is an additional $23/day. All in all a decent experience, but will be much better when the remodeling is done.”

“Overall a good experience. The room is spacious and newly renovated. Room has a good view of Los Angeles from the Hollywood Hills. The hotel is undergoing renovation, so in the daytime it was quite noisy.”

• Concierge was particularly helpful; free internet station was very handy as well.
• Room keycard function in elevator took a few times to work, although we appreciated the extra security feature.

“Great location and atmosphere. Nice view (either die) too. Recommended, particularly for those who plan to check out good restaurants/clubs, as well as Grauman's Chinese Theater, El Capitan Entertainment Center, or the Kodak Theatre, which are a quick drive away.”

• Smelled horrible, everything closed for remodel.

“I wasn't told that the hotel was undergoing a large scale remodel. The construction and saws, etc went on into the evening, pool and shops were closed, no food was available.”

• My husband and I liked the room and the view, it was great!
• It didn't have self-served coffee in the room.

• Bed was dressed simple, and clean with a sheet on top and bottom of blanket, no duvets that are questionable with cleanliness.
• No mini fridge to keep drinks in room. Safe was in first room, but not second. Inconsistent.

“I arrived at the hotel expecting to be inconvenienced, but it was not bad at all. Overall, I was really pleased with Hyatt West Hollywood. I would definitely choose Hyatt properties again and would recommend for testing out new places.”

• For this quality of hotel, you expect many amenities to be included like wireless internet. Bottled water was $8!

“I've stayed at more moderate hotels that have offers many complimentary amenities like WiFi and bottled water. all you're paying for in this hotel is it's location and "Hollywood chic-ness".”

• The room design, sleek; cool TV & lamps as well as storage cabinets, bathroom sleek and sexy.
• Shower was open, needed a siding glass door to keep in heat.

• Noisy elevator! All night!

“The hotel was easy to locate and has an attractive interior with very pleasant staff. I would have liked complimentary parking ($22) and complimentary coffee/tea! I've stayed at less expensive hotels and have always had a coffee maker in the rooms along with parking, or less then $14. The room was nicely decorated and had a tranquil view of the Hollywood Hills but the noisy elevator woke us up thought the night and nonstop starting very early in the morning!”

• I really liked the pool but the hotel guest were not informed that they couldn't use it.
• The self parking at the hotel cost 18.00.

• No robe, no laundry bag (great for packing dirty clothes).

“Hip upscale hotel in the heart of Hollywood's nostalgic Sunset Strip. The newly renovated rooms were both modern and chic. The staff was friendly, and the service was impeccable. We were pleasantly surprised!”

• Excellent location, friendly staff, rooms have been upgraded to contemporary style, beds sleep very comfortable.
• I don't think guests should be charged for parking.

“The purpose of our stay was a visit to CBS studios for a game show taping. This hotel was approx. two miles from the studios and was also a prime location for night entertainment. Rooms were nicely upgraded and the staff was very friendly and courteous.”
