“For an overnight stay it is tolerable, but an extended stay could be taxing. Tight quarters, random fees, and extremely thin walls invite a lot of stress.”

“Stayed for 2 nights recently (April 10th and 11th 2009) in a room on the lower floor, this was the 1st bad thing. You have to walk down the dark scary parking lot to get to your room. We only went to eat fast food on the first night (5 minutes walk from the hotel), but it was very scary to be out after dark in the area. Walls are very thin, you can hear everything from outside and above floors, from kids yelling to people walking, showering, everything! Not a very safe area as there were cops at the hotel on the first night!Reception is not very helpful and they are rude, specifically the man who works the night shift, he has no emotion and never smiles and looks like he was raised from the dead (with glasses). My sister's socks were stolen which was odd, because they cleaned the room while we were out in Anaheim on the first day.”

“Wish we had known to call the hotel for airport pickup; we waited nearly an hour for the shuttle until it came in response to another guest's request. Other people were also waiting for pickup and didn't fit in the smallish van. Calling for pickup isn't real convenient for late international arrivals, when you may not have change for a payphone, and don't have a mobile. If you call in advance however you shouldn't have to wait long as it's one of the closest hotels to the airport. Once we arrived the room was quiet and no airport noise, comfortable bed, clean bathroom with decent functional fittings. Room overall was better than expected. Good breakfast buffet selection including cereal, toast, muffins, cook-your-own waffles etc, but get there in plenty of time before it ends as some things run out. Motel style hotel, much smaller than other airport hotels. Depending on other guests there may be some noise of arrivals/departures as the car parking is directly in front of the rooms. We didn't have any problems however.”

“This was a very clean and well upgraded hotel. It was less than five minutes from LAX and they even have a free shuttle going there. I would highly recommend this hotel.”

“The room was well appointed on the inside. It is very convenient to LAX, and was clean. The outside was very outdated and would present much better if updated. Since each room opened to the outside, it left questions about security; however I never had any reason to feel unsafe.”

“This hotel seems to be undergoing renovation. The first time I stayed here, I got stuck in a tiny back room, which seemed to be a maid's room -- run down, barely room to move around, but the second time was much better. The beds & sheets are pretty comfy, and the bigger room I got the second time was nice with fridge, desk, big closet & huge bathroom. Clean & decent. What I would have expected the first time. But the service is sometimes was not so great & parking is very tight in the lot. Bonus is breakfast, with coffee & waffles, cereal, etc. & wireless/internet access. Ok for price & convenience, close to LAX & freeways & places to eat/grocery stores, but not necessarily great if you intend to hang out in your room much.”

“I did not appreciate the fact that we had to stay at a place that was under construction making parking more difficult. The service was bad; they never got our room order right. Most of the TV channels came in fuzzy and the ac barely worked.”

“It was under construction. I think our room had just been finished almost. There was no mirror in it. Other than that the room looked nice. Quite a bit of construction noise (from floor above) and blockage of entrances and exits.”

“This hotel was pleasant to stay at and conveniently located. I had no major problems. They were in the process of renovating some of the rooms, and that led to some construction noise and clutter, but it was not a big deal.”

“This hotel has very little parking area. The rooms are very small, there was not a desk in the room, the TV was old with bad sound. The bathroom fan need to be replaced. There was no internet access in the rooms. The room doors did not seem to be secure.”

“I would not recommend this place to anyone. It was awful. The receptionist was rude. We kept having to get supplies etc. We couldn't even park close to our room.”

“I was very disappointed with this hotel and checked out 40 minutes after checking in. Discovering the hotel would not offer an option to leave our car, take a shuttle to the airport for a short trip and pick our car up on our return. We frequently do this in various other hotels (where they sometimes charge a nightly parking rate) for the convenience of having to meet my husband with his car and join up luggage etc. for the check in. The manager had a horrible attitude. The hotel (more like a motel ) was not busy. And don't recommend this hotel at all!”

“The main problem with the hotel was that we were stranded at the airport for over an hour waiting for the shuttle. After the first call and a promise that the shuttle was coming, we waited 20 minutes. Then we tried to call the hotel again. However multiple phone calls were not answered. I called the national reservation number for Travelodge twice before we found someone at the local hotel who could actually send the shuttle.”

“This hotel was one of the worst places I have ever had the misfortune to stay at. It was the stereotypical 'Roach Motel'; dirty, bug infested, and smelly!”

“I just needed a quick place to crash for a meeting, all by myself, so a dump would do. It's definitely a dump. But I must admit, I was a little surprised that a Travelodge would be so nasty, since I thought they were a little nicer.”
