• Because we were on our honeymoon they upgraded us to a suite.
• Per day we had to pay 30$ for parking.

• Location & the staff.

“Beautifully decorated as all Kimpton hotels are. Staff was on queue and addressed any need, and it was clean. The location was central to the events we attended. Would go back in the future.”

• the tub stopper was broke

“the palomar is a great hotel located in the heart of west la. whether for business or pleasure, it is a hotel that is worth its price. clean rooms; comfy beds, & complementary papers & coffee in the morning. do not stay at big chain hotels that charge double & provide half the stay.”

• Excellent location for someone without a car. Shops are walkable as well as grocery & drug stores.
• The room was way too small. Hard to stay in for one week.

“Great location, walkable to many stores and movie theater. Very nice looking as you approach as well as the interior. Very clean and welcoming staff. My only complaint was the room. Very small. Could not complain about anything else. Morning coffee downstairs w/complimentary newspapers to choose from. Complimentary wine in the evenings from 5pm-6pm. We were there in the summer so they have Popsicles in the lobby in the afternoon. Great hotel. Would absolute stay there again.”

• Staff very friendly and helpful. They address you by name.
• The bed comforter is too warm for me. Wake up sweating.

“The L.A. Palomar Hotel has elegant commons areas and comfortable rooms. All areas I saw were very clean. The large modern TV was enjoyable. The bathroom was well appointed. Having windows that opened to outside air would be nice, but might be impractical for this high-rise design. A fan in the bathroom would also be desireable. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Would stay again.”

• Decor. Cleanliness. Staff friendliness.
• A little further from UCLA campus than I thought it would be.

“The hotel has a the feel of a small boutique establishment. The decor is tasteful avant-garde. It is very clean. The staff are friendly, fun, and attentive without being overbearing. The clientele appear to be sophisticated but friendly.”

• Kimpton hotels decor is always fun. I like the whimsy they include in their rooms.
• Rooms slightly small, but otherwise wonderful.

“The Palomar is located in a great part of Westwood, within walking distance of good restaurants, movie theaters, UCLA and freeways. The lobby is wonderful, the service excellent. Loved getting a NY Times each morning at my door, including Sundays! I happily recommend the Palomar to virtually any kind of traveler (other than perhaps a family of four, as the rooms are on the small side, with double beds).”

• Room was dirty and we had to switch rooms.

“The employees were nice and helpful. Our first room still had garbage in all of the cans and soap was left in the bathroom. We moved rooms and the second room was nicer but there was still a tube of toothpaste left over from the previous guest. I did like the location because it was very near everywhere that I needed to go while on my visit.”

• Hotel under construction beginning drilling at 8:30 a.m. should not be classified as 3 star. This was a joke!

“Maybe when the Westwood on Wilshire completes their remodel and stops drilling at 8:30 a.m. in the morning, they will be worth the price. Currently, stay away at all costs. You can have a nicer stay at a Motel 6 right next to the freeway. A complete waste of money and certainly not luxury. Rooms have 50 year old dinghy furniture and holes in the walls.”

• Heated pool and Jacuzzi; free 15 min computers; near UCLA.
• Rug - not clean; furniture - a bit beat up; pool - broken tile.

“Great for visiting UCLA as it is very close. The hotel, which is undergoing renovations, really does need it. The cleaning was incomplete, and they charge $21 for parking per day. You absolutely cannot get a room until 3 pm, I don't know why, perhaps they overbook.”
