  • Beautiful location, great staff.
  • Looked old on the outside.

“This hotel was a very nice average hotel. We travel a lot,
this hotel met our expectations because of the staff and location. Very clean, quiet and friendly.”

  • The night clerk was very helpful.
  • It was not up-to-date and dingy.

“It was good for low budget experience. Unfortunately the price was not low budget.”

  • Rooms have been nicely updated, beds and pillows were comfy and fridge/microwave came in handy!

“There are two other properties close by so I suggested borrowing one from another property and even offered to go get it. The manager on duty promptly called back and said she would go get one and that we could enjoy 20% off in the hotel restaurant for our inconvenience. Great! What good customer service. However, when the crib arrived, one side was broken. It was late and I knew it was pointless to try for another one that night. We were able to prop it up on a drawer to make it work for the night but I called the front desk right away to let them know it was broken and to see if we could get a different one for the next two nights. They said no problem. I asked again the next day and the front desk said he would look for one and call me back. He never did. I called the front desk again at bedtime just to check. Still no luck so we made do with the broken crib once again. Day #3 was exactly the same story. Still unable to get a new crib for our room. Fortunately my 16 month old is a still sleeper and we didn't have any accidents but this was my biggest complaint about the hotel. Bring your own pack-n-play if you can!

  • Free parking and a spacious room.
  • TV did not work and front desk failed to answer the phone when I called for assistance.

“This property is in good condition but somewhat dated decor. The location is excellent with access to a lakeside park. Restaurants in the area close early.”

  • Great room, very comfortable and clean.
  • Poor wireless service, and shower flow.

“If they'd have had a decent shower and stronger wireless system, it'd be my favorite place to stay. The intermittent wireless access was very annoying and frustrating. I ate in the bar not the restaurant as there were people in the bar, but the restaurant was empty and uninviting. Great food and friendly service.”

  • Great locations next to Columbia river.
  • Poor sounding band performing during day, very loud.

“Nice hotel for the Priceline price. Probably not worth the full price. Would be nice to have continental breakfast like some cheaper hotels. Very noisy during day as a poor sounding rock band (high schoolers?) was attempting to play. Staff was pleasant. Room was clean. Temperature control of room worked well. Room faced court, might be nosier if it had faced the street as some do. Only stayed one night.”

  • Comfortable bed and quiet.
  • Remodel craftsmanship was poor.

“Recently remodeled, but not at the quality level of other Red Lions in the state. Pasco Red Lion rooms are much larger with better amenities and higher quality furnishings.”

  • The room was big.
  • Pool was closed for winter.

“We had a great visit staff at front desk that could be more available.”

  • The location next to the river is nice.
  • Hot tub did not work, room was dark, hotel needs updating.

“The hotel was okay but dated and many of the features were sub par, such as the fitness center and hot tub. And the rooms are very dark.”

  • Room exceedingly clean, bed was great, shower was more than hoped for.
  • I was great.

“The room was large and comfortable. The chairs were very comfortable and the bed was absolutely responsible for a great night of sleep. On the bed was a selection of 6 pillows from very soft to firm. What a wonderful touch that was. Also we had the handicapped room and the walk in shower was much more than we ever hoped to get. It was a great experience from the instant we parked until we finally had to check out.”

  • Very little, maybe the location.
  • The sagging mattress, the dirty windows, the crude crowd.

“I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Even the glass doors into to the lobby were filthy. The walls were paper thin allowing us to hear every word, every flush, every shower. Revelers drank by the pool and hooted like juveniles until 4 am. I called the desk several times, to no avail. Next night, same scene. We could not wait to come home to get a good night's sleep.”

  • The price.
  • Cleanliness, service.

“The hotel room that we were put in at first had old bread and old food in the refrigerator. It took a long time to get any service. A drunk girl was in the hallway and needed our help and she wasn't even staying at the hotel. I really didn't feel safe after she told us that a strange guy was following her in the hotel. The hotel stay was not a very good experience.”

  • Everything else except the restaurant food was great.
  • My only disappointment was the quality of the restaurant - both service and food.

“Great hotel, we enjoyed everything about it, with the exception of the restaurant at dinner time. The food was of lower quality than it once was (I frequented the hotel about 20 years ago and the restaurant was fantastic), and the service was poor.”

  • Location, on river trail.
  • Old, smelly, run down.

“In print, Red Lion always portrays itself as a quality, upscale hotel, even in the smaller rural cities. Unfortunately it's not. The Richland Red Lion is old, and it shows. The hotel structure is dated, the rooms are not updated and it doesn't feel warm and inviting. The hotel rooms are priced similarly to nearby hotels which are mostly in the same category as the Red Lion but aren't nearly as worn out. I will not stay at any Red Lion in the future if I can avoid it.”

  • Location near the river.
  • Too many kids there that night.

“I would stay here again. Near the river walk and also walking distance from a nice Italian restaurant.”

  • Great location, right on the River Walk.
  • Pool and hot tub needed cleaning.

“It was a last minute decision to stay here, and we were very pleased with what we received for the price we paid. Location is easy to get to and there is a lot to do nearby. The hotel seemed to be at least half empty, so it was very quiet.”

  • The garden area was beautiful and the river view excellent!
  • The hotel had no curb appeal, but once inside was lovely.

“A pleasant surprise, the Red Lion in Richland, WA just looked like another hotel left over from the 60's from the outside but the inside is very modern and wonderfully decorated. Our room was not considered to be a river view room, but we had an excellent view of both the beautifully maintained courtyard and the Columbia River. The pool is large and heated enough to enjoy it being outdoors even in cooler weather. Every room has a balcony large enough to accomodate deck furniture and the atmosphere out on the balcony is romantic and relaxing. The bed was super cozy and the room had every ammenity I could want, including an oversized refridgerator and microwave. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. We were disappointed to find the pool area locked before the time posted that it closes. Upon asking about it, a manager and maintence worker immediately went out and opened it up and let us stay as long as we wanted. The service was fantastic! I will definately stay at the Red Lion again on my next visit to the area!”

  • Right on the river, with a 8 mile jogging lane. lots of grass for the kids to run.
  • None.

“We arrived late, 10 pm. The staff new my name, and was anticipating my arrival. There was a fast, easy check-in, and I was showered and asleep in thirty minutes. The room was quiet and I could not hear any jets or traffic noise at all. For breakfast we had the steak and eggs and also the crab omelets. Both were very good.”

  • The room was a nice large size.
  • The vent in the bathroom was open without the great on it and big globs of dust came out while we were there.

“We enjoyed our stay and will go back again. It was clean and the oversight of the vent in the bathroom not being a finished project can be overlooked by us.”
